No doubt there will be serving National Board members nervously looking over their shoulders, with the fear of the next knock on their door.
Whilst innocent upon proven guilty, they sucked up to the former CEO and took a bite of the poisoned apple in furtherance of favours.

Aileen O'Connor, chair of Thames Valley Police Federation, reveals that the killers of PC Andrew Harper were told they weren't excluded from the early release scheme before his family was.

PC Andrew Harper was a hero.
He risked his life to keep us safe. The 28-year-old lost it in the line of duty after being dragged behind a car for more than a mile. His injuries were so catastrophic a colleague at the scene couldn’t recognise him.
His new bride became a widow within a month of their wedding.
Now two of the men responsible for PC Harper’s death (seen here) are set to walk free at the halfway point of their sentences.
Harper’s Law already exists. It was passed in Andrew’s name to ensure those who kill emergency workers face tougher sentences. But it doesn’t apply retrospectively.
If the law named after Andrew Harper can’t prevent the men responsible for his death being released this early, what was it for?

I've just finished speaking this morning with a Met officer in a leadership role. The situation with staffing is worse than most people realise. This is not scaremongering, nor is it party politics. We've been here before (2010 - 2017/18).
The PM and Home Secretary need to be very awake to this situation in case they're not hearing it from the bosses. We're in a very bad place!
You cannot expect a shrinking force to effectively police growing crime demand and population. We are crippling the institution we need to keep us all safe. More officers will be added to the growing number of leavers unless something is done urgently 😧

Yet again, @metpoliceuk have failed to call out the poor behaviour of the instigators of this incident, that led to the resented stop and search in question.
We should not be apologising *at all* to anyone involved in this matter, except the police officers who have had their lives turned upside down and forced to defend their reputations (for the last 4 years) for doing nothing more than the job they are expected by society to do.
By not calling out the poor behaviour by Santos and Williams - presumably for the sake of concern over 'community tensions', sends the wrong message and further undermines our brave officers out there at the sharp end of the thin blue line.
Let's not forget that former Commissioner Dame Cressida Dick said at the time "any officer worth their salt would have stopped that car".

Why is no one else speaking?
Or challenging?
I’ll ask again.
How much is this man being paid?
We take no pleasure in sharing this but it is important people see it. This is how the unelected CEO at @PFEW_HQ speaks to elected officials who disagree with him.
Imagine what unfairly suspended officers and officials, staff past and present have had to deal with?

Can we be really clear…
There are no *extra* officers
They’re the same ones who have been on duty all along
Who have worked all the hours
Who have slept on police station floors
Who have been attacked and abused
And who are back on duty again
Because hatred will not win

Please don’t relish in the CCTV being leaked.
Instead ask yourself why we don’t routinely release body worn video in a timely manner?

The @metpoliceuk has been heavily criticised in recent years but this was outstanding heroism by the female officer who marched unflinchingly towards extreme danger. Kudos. 👏

We continue to support the two officers dismissed after yesterday’s extremely disappointing GM panel findings and we have been in detailed discussions with the officers’ legal team today concerning appealing the two adverse decisions.
Before I commented on this matter I wanted to have read the panel’s Summary of Findings, which I did this afternoon.
The vast majority of allegations against all officers were found to be unproven and were rejected.
Allegations pertaining to honesty & integrity were found proven against two of the officers in relation to the smelling of cannabis.
The stop and search was lawful and the search carried out under s1 PACE and not s23 MDA - so there was little to no advantage to provide an additional search ground in respect of the use of drugs - a point conceded by the panel.
No complaints or allegations pertaining to race discrimination were upheld against any of the officers concerned.
The IOPC’s statement 👇 below is therefore highly misleading and supports the view that they are a politically influenced and partisan organisation.
Couple of interesting points on the panel’s conclusions…
1. They discounted the possibility that any of the officers could have been mistaken about identifying the odour as cannabis.
2. They accepted that there had or may have been a smell of cannabis, but that this came from a source which was not from the complainants or their vehicle; examples provided by the panel being a passer-by, a vehicle or nearby building.
3. Having conceded point 2, they still found that the two officers were untruthful in stating that they smelt cannabis.
4. Allegations that two of the other officers did not smell cannabis were found not proven.
The officers’ Fed Rep has done, and continues to do a fantastic job in supporting these officers. We will continue to support him and the two dismissed officers until all possible avenues of appeal have been exhausted.

I took a train last week when off duty. Booked and paid for ticket in advance. Conductor asked to see it when I was on the train. He was in authority and it was a reasonable request he made . So I showed it, all in order and he moved on. All mutually respectful. Just saying …
