The Hobby has always been People > Cards. Cards are just a really fun glue that binds us between sports fandom, player fandom, competition. Cards bring us closer to each other while bringing us closer to the games we love.
In that space and the community built up for it around Twitter, there are very few people who have done more while caring more for those people and the COMMUNITY of cards more than my friend Chris @CrackinWax.
From pioneering community-led Charity Breaks that all could trust, to always fighting for the most specific player collector on the tiniest budget, Chris is a great human being and will always have some of my fondest hobby community memories
Writing this to share my appreciation and as a tribute, as I understand he is stepping away from cards at this time in a very thoughtful manner, as he always carries out any action he starts, and he deserves to hear from so many of us our thanks for all he has done over the years to make collecting, the chase, and the community better.
Above all else, I'm hopeful he continues to share personal updates on Twitter as his humor, insights, and beliefs are a journey I don't want to stop following, and it's the point of social media imo to enrich our lives by understanding the breadth of the humanity around us.
Thank you Chris for being a great friend and enriching us all with your presence and contributions.

41 years later, I finally picked up one of these for my collection - the first Hudson-Delaware Council jamboree shoulder patch. Spotted it in the corner of a photo for a random eBay lot with no text description of the contents. Now the real work begins…

Just a heads up to all my @Mets collectors. I still see breakers selling #JeffMcNeil spots in 2022 @Topps Tier One breaks on @eBay . There is only 1 McNeil card in the whole product and it was pulled! @CollectTheMets @WatchTheBreaks @ChecklistsforUS
