For context, Virginia Foxx is a decrepit old B who yells at children on camera & had the same deal with the devil as Mitch McC. She was unbeatable bc NC is gerrymandered, but a delightful Boomer dad ran to replace her to avenge his LGBTQ+ daughter.

Just a normal guy, he decided to run for office to stand up for his LGBTQ daughter and defend her rights in Trump’s America.
My God, Dems accomplished another miracle that I didn’t even know was on the table: They got him to shut the fuck up for a minute.

FINAL (mostly) RESULTS FROM NORTH CAROLINA
Hard to know where to begin. This was a generational election. Absolutely insane. The voter surge pushed the Republican gerrymander of North Carolina into dummymander territory, wreaking absolute havoc on the GOP's numbers.
US SENATE: @RoyCooperNC by a mile.
CONGRESS: Democrats flip 6 (!!) Congressional seats: NC-5, 6, 9, 11, 13, 14. NC delegation becomes 10D-4R.
NC LEGISLATURE: Democrats flip 19 (!!) House seats, plus 1 Independent. 4 in the Senate.
If the 1 Independent caucuses with @NCHouseDems, they will be at 71 seats in the NC House - just 1 shy of a supermajority.
The NC Senate is now 26R-24D. Republicans are just 1 seat away from a full Democratic trifecta of North Carolina's state government.
NC JUDICIAL: @Anita_Earls and all 3 Democratic Court of Appeals candidates crushed their races by wide margins.
LOCAL: Democrats made large gains in local races all over the state. Totals are still being tabulated in some places, but Democrats flipped:
- both the New Hanover County Board of Commissioners and School board
- the Forsyth County Board of Commissioners, and the District Attorney's office - perennial Republican statewide candidate Jim O'Neil has finally been turned out of office
- The Cabarrus County Board of Commissioners, where no Democrat has held any seat in 36 years - will now have a Democratic majority
