Slava Ukraini! Fully support the Ukrainian people and their warrior leader, President Zelenskyy! @ZelenskyyUa #UkraineWillWin #Ukraine️
I thank @POTUS for the warm welcome and I deeply appreciate all the support of the U.S. and the American people. I am confident that together we will be able to secure a better, prosperous and free future for both of our nations. Ukraine’s victory will also be America’s victory.

Today we pay tribute to the victims of 9/11. It is one of the most tragic days in the history of 🇺🇸 & the world. Facing missile attacks daily, 🇺🇦 knows well what terrorism is and sincerely sympathizes with the 🇺🇸 people. Terrorism is an evil that has no place in the modern world!

Back to #riskmanagement basics: so many govs keep their risk data siloed and don’t make it easy for the private sector to access that data. The growing global trend is increased establishment of Public-Private-Partnerships (PPP). The first step is communicating and sharing data.

Back to #crisis #communication basics: 4 basic things to have in place - 1) a crisis-agnostic plan; 2) set of cleared holding statements; 3) pre-cleared response templates for all key risks/threats to use as starting drafts; 4) clear process for activating the crisis action plan.

Thoughts on #crisis #communication: frontline staff are usually the direct contacts customers and the public have with an organization. During build up to a crisis, they are a key source for learning about and measuring the issues. Ensure they are part of crisis comms efforts.

Thoughts on #crisis #communication - half the battle of successful crisis comms efforts is done well in advance of any incident or crisis. Ensure the system is in place, team is trained, relationships are made, basic materials and talking points are created and cleared, practice.

Back to #crisis #management basics: when a crisis hits, time is one of your most value assets. Be ready to respond. The more prepared your team is to do so and the more preparations that are in place, the better the outcome(s) will be. Also good to be ready for cascading events.

Thoughts on #crisis #comms: seeing the impact of social media on many issues, esp the role mis- and disinfo play. A big take away is that no one org can effectively counter the massive amounts of disinfo by itself. It will take coordinated efforts across multiple platforms.
