I don't know, guys.
It's almost like some people have certain life experiences, and other people have other life experiences.
Maybe when we share about them online we don't need to phrase our stories like we're attacking people who had a different experience?

An Honest Question:
If your conscience would not allow you to attend a loved one's wedding/baby shower/party or invite them to your home/celebration BECAUSE of their life choices or lifestyle
What thought pattern brings you here? What do you hope to avoid or gain?

I’ll tell you what’s not sustainable — the scorched earth factiousness passing for “doctrinal courage” in our evangelical tribes. When the moral chaos of the world goes off the inevitable cliff, will they find a Church ready to help? Or a bunch of divisive, trigger-happy weirdos?

This is pretty much why I wrote the book Fearing Bravely: Risking Love for our Neighbors, Strangers, and Enemies... in case anyone wants to read it. I'd love to hear what you think.

I’ve read all of @branthansen’s books, even positively reviewing two of them for @TGC.
I just got his newest one (“Life Is Hard…”). Looks great!
I’ve never seen Brant dance, but I think he’s a clever author with faithful words to speak to our moment. Always encouraging.

“We are Christians,” responded one individual when asked why he was among the growing number of Chinese nationals who have taken "the walking route," flying to South America & walking to the US border to seek asylum
We travel to Ecuador to understand the surge in Chinese migrants crossing the U.S. Southern Border and uncover an intricate network of travel packages and businesses that have sprung up to profit off of their trek. #走线 @CNN cnn.com/2024/01/08/americas/…

Something happened today, and I want to mark it.
First, I was overcome by sadness over the animosity and strife among those of us who are brothers and sisters in Christ (and even those who are not).
Second, I was overwhelmed by a sense of love for those who seem to live to attack and oppose others.
Finally, I was filled with gratitude at the strongest sense I’ve ever possessed of my utter and complete reliance upon Christ and Christ alone, not only for salvation (of course), but also just for living and being on earth, not reliant on human power, schemes, and machinations, in a world so filled with hardness as well as great beauty and goodness.
Whatever this is, I hope it lasts.

Ethical question for you …
How charged does your spouse’s phone have to be before you unplug it to charge yours?
Asking for a friend who unplugged his wife’s phone at 17%.

ICYMI: @KSPrior on how her latest book, an academic examination, became increasingly her personal story as she finished it--plus the intriguing question: do we do it because is it biblical, or do we do it because is it Victorian? 🤔podcasts.apple.com/us/podcas…
