I’ve learned it’s shocking what otherwise good people will do when they’re permitted. If treated specially, if the rules get bent for them, if society tolerates it—or better yet, champions it—a people will do devilish things in their own interest. …and at the expense of others.

UPDATE: Ilhan Omar’s sister signed a 340B deal for her clinic with a pharmacy that lost its license in 2017 but remains active, as Omar steered public money to her clinic while claiming no family interest. Omar’s family members have received grand jury subpoenas, per the NYT.
