The Futures Green 🟢

Great to see @StuartWHOGG_ at our minis session this morning. A real buzz for the boys and girls getting to see their hero 💚💚💚

Delighted to give our girls the opportunity to be guard of honour and show us their skills at half time during yesterdays game v Marr. A lot of work behind the scenes has went into getting girls in the town playing and it’s going from strength to strength 💚🏉💚 @HawickRFC

U16s and U18s also in action over the weekend 🏉💚🏉 It’s a busy one ☑️

Busy morning of 🏉 tomorrow with a triple header at the Volunteer 3G. S1/S2 and U15s all playing against Gala back to back starting at 9am. Make sure to get along and support the young greens 🏉💚🏉

Week 2 of this years Keown Trophy and Chrysties Quaich. These tournaments are a huge part of our rugby history in the town. Let’s have the kids enjoying the games and coming away with great memories for years to come 💚🏉💚

A huge well done to these 5 players from @HawickU18s who played in the U17 Super 4s Series at Murrayfield on Wednesday. A great experience and another step forward for these boys. Mikey, Jardine, Connor x2 and Greig 💚🏉

Alongside the physical prep the boys are also learning about the importance of nutrition. Here they are post session with bananas and protein yogurt kindly donated by their coach Dave 🍌🥚🍗 @TheHawickPaper @HawickU18s @G_HMedia

Another morning of hard work for our S1 SOR group in Strength & Conditioning. These boys learning all about how their bodies work and learning the importance of being physically fit to play 🏉

Tonight’s @HawickRFC Skills clinic was for young Hookers in the town to look at perfecting their throwing techniques. In the capable hands of current greens players the #younggreens worked at their craft and took plenty learnings away. #thefuturesgreen 💚🏉💚

“That was the best day ever” A huge thank you to @Scotlandteam inspiring these young Hawick girls at the game versus Spain this evening. First time we have went to a woman’s international as a club team and we can’t wait to take to the field ourselves in the morning 🏉💚

The Second instalment of @HawickRFC Skills school brought a familiar face back to Mansfield Park. A huge thank you to @StuartWHOGG_ for coming along and taking boys from U15 - 1st XV for some kicking practice. Lots learned, lots to work on. #thefuturesgreen @HawickU18s

Brilliant to have the @HawickHS School of Rugby down at Mansfield today to experience all that the great place has to offer. Rugby on the hallowed turf in the sunshine 🏉💚☀️ How many of these boys will sit in these seats in the future? #thefuturesgreen @HawickRFC

Scrum half workshop last night @HawickRFC with greens legend Kevin Reid. Great that guys like Kev give up their time to help the next generation of 9s. Looking forward to getting more of these workshops throughout the season. 🏉💚🏉 @happyeggshaped @HawickU18s @scotrugbycoach

A huge thank you to PC Stewart who came up to @HawickU18s last night to raise awareness of drugs and alcohol and the effects it has on young bodies and minds. A real thought provoking chat and again showing that here in Hawick rugby we are always trying to improve the person. 💚

If at first you don’t succeed, try, try and TRY again. Been a long time getting to this stage with our girls only programme but we’re loving how it’s going from strength to strength. Brilliant to see all the girls loving the game and the smiles and laughter remind you of the why!

A huge thank you to @lisathomson10 for giving up her time to come down to our @HawickRFC girls session this week. Brilliant for these young girls to have a role model to aspire to within this great game for all. #thefuturesgreen @happyeggshaped @TheHawickPaper @Scotlandteam
