After announcing a $20 billion bailout of Argentina, the White House now says it's pausing $18 billion in funding for NYC infrastructure projects
Russ Vought would love nothing more than to tear this country down to its studs
Roughly $18 billion in New York City infrastructure projects have been put on hold to ensure funding is not flowing based on unconstitutional DEI principles. More info to come soon from @USDOT.

It’s disgusting that my colleagues would support legislation to prohibit U.S. officials from even citing the Palestinian death toll.
They want to erase the Palestinians who are living, and now they are trying to erase the Palestinians who are dead. This is genocide denial.
One of my highlights from #UAA2023: I had to the chance to ask Adolph Reed Jr about his life’s work, his experiences, and for his advice. I’m leaving feeling so inspired and stimulated.
Thanks @CitiesAtTufts for giving me the opportunity to share my research on urban planning, urban politics, and reparations. I had a wonderful time!
The next #FREE @CitiesatTufts lecture starts in 15 minutes!

In November, the @nytimes published an article about efforts in Asia to fight back COVID. They mentioned specifically 3 countries (Hong Kong, Korea and Japan) and outlined long histories of policy implementation by health officials in these nations trying to combat infections

If Biden wins, its bc Black organizers in Rust Belt cities tipped it over to him in spite of himself, as he centered conservatives & made working-class POC interests an afterthought. In some key states the share of Black turnout DECLINED. It would’ve been even lower without them.
Just read an incredible article on the production of racial difference through architecture from @AlissaDiamond4 & @bbwilson3. The kicker is their discussion of how white moral turpitude regarding the built environment became "transposed onto perceptions of blackness" during...
"This reveals that, far from being to blame for the “about to fall down” conditions, [Black] residents, with few other housing choices, were actually victims of neglect by property owners... [who] resided elsewhere in the city in white neighborhoods"

The president of the United States just called for his white supremist “proud boys to stand back and standby”. There is more...he dog whistled (bullhorned) his supporters to go to the polls as “poll watchers” to disrupt democracy. Is that treason?

Just curious about the timeline on holding Dems accountable if we’re this easily impressed. During the January celebratory mimosa brunches? The Facebook Presents Black History Month™️ at the White House? Maybe it’s after the AKA South Lawn Easter Egg Stroll idk.
“We heard Mary J. Blige at the end and we heard a Divine 9 shoutout at the beginning,” @MsPackyetti says, discussing Sen. Harris’ VP nomination acceptance speech. “That is certainly never something that many folks in our community thought they would see."
