In June 2019, the National Parks and Wildlife Service and #ParksCanada signed a twinning agreement connecting #ConnemaraNationalPark & the Derrygimlagh Marconi Wireless Station in Ireland w/ #TerraNovaNationalPark & #SignalHill National Historical Site in Canada.

Similar landscape, flora & fauna and, as a result, similar conservation & heritage interests form the basis for the twinning of these two iconic National Parks.

A reminder to be extra vigilant this weekend, with the continued high temps. Do NOT light fires/BBQs in or near our National Parks/Nature Reserves. Aerial surveillance will be in place all weekend over all our National Park sites, along with ongoing ground patrols.
