In a week, JF would be repeating the system’s deracinating narrative against the irish
The narrative of Normans "invading" Ireland is misconstrued.
They were literally reached out to and INVITED to Ireland by an IRISH King of Leinster Diarmait Mac Murchada after he, despite being peaceful and popular was not once but twice forced out of his completely rightful throne by a cabal of conspiring jealous rivals who sieged, starved and pillaged the greatest Irish province, now Leinster.

HE then travelled to England ASKING King Henry II of England (who was also Duke of Normandy) for permission to recruit mercenaries to help him win back Leinster.
Norman, Welsh, and Flemish mercenaries led by figures like Richard "StrongBow" De Clare and Robert fitz Stephen arrived in County Wexford and helped capture Waterford.
In exchange for their military help, Diarmait OFFERED Strongbow the hand of his daughter, Aoife along with the right to inherit the Kingship of Leinster.
So the Normans;

Following the 1169 SETTLEMENT, the Anglo-Normans occupied large parts of Ireland.
