I understand Habbo’s need to update its Terms of Service, but there should be a clear distinction between gambling and harmless, free-to-play games that have been part of the community for years.

pushing the deadline by 3 months to allow for more time doesn’t negate the fact that y’all thought a weeks notice was enough.
don’t try to frame it like it’s being done for the community. if it was for the community there would’ve been more than 7 days notice in the first place.
Update on the new Terms: the rule on games of chance with prizes of value now takes effect in February 2027.
The rule itself hasn’t changed – we’re giving everyone more time to adapt (us included). The rest of the Terms take effect today.

@Habbo I really hope this is truly a "may" and not a "will eventually" situation because I have over 1000 players rooms connected to my Apartment Complex world.
I also have 100s more historic rooms tele links collected spanning the last 15 years preserved in my other hallway project the "Teleport Wander Society".
I would be absolutely devastated if I suddenly found a lot of dead link teles from the players who stopped playing the game for 180 days, by no fault of their own other than taking a, quite frankly short break :(
Players who have connected to the Complex have the joy of knowing their room can be discovered by other players even if they take huge breaks from playing the game. Their room can always be found through the many APT floors we have, all interlinked together.
I often suggest leaving a sticky poll down when someone connects, so if they do have a few years break at some point, they can return to messages from friends and explorers. Eventually the Complex will be a huge time capsule of fun habbo memories. For these rooms to vanish would be a huge shame.
I am sure other Habbo Historians won't like the idea of 20+ year old rooms vanishing either. Please don't erase the rich digital history you have. You run one of the oldest digital worlds, it is worth preserving.
I know there are more pressing concerns that people want addressed regarding the ToS (including myself about the state of free giveaways) but please consider my plea to preserve players accounts past 180 days of inactivity.
I returned to Habbo in 2024 after a 10 year break. If I never had this old account, I probably wouldn't have started playing again.

User hosted games keep people actively playing and help new users get ahead and keep playing.
This is the worst update, and so damaging for their player base.
I’d love to know why they’re making this decision and why they think it’s a good idea.

RuneFest 2025 was a huge turning point in my life.
My anxiety had become so bad that I spent most of the event hiding in my hotel room, trying to build up the confidence to go outside. People were asking where I was and I completely crumbled. I was at one of the lowest points of my life.
Since then, I decided to go fully sober and stop relying on shitty vices to make me feel confident. I started facing the things I’d spent years burying, went to therapy, lost 70lbs and worked hard on myself.
Then came RuneFest 2026.
The anxiety was still there, but something was different. I didn’t feel the need to hide or rely on anything to get through it. I met incredible people from all over the world, spent time with people I’ve known for years and, honestly, the amount of love and support I received was fucking overwhelming.
For the first time in a long time, I felt seen.
I’m still a work in progress and I have a long way to go, but I finally feel like I’m actually living my life instead of just trying to get through it.
If you struggle with anxiety, ADHD or anything that makes you feel lost, please believe me when I say it can get better. You don’t need to rely on shitty vices to feel confident. They’re a band-aid over something that needs addressing.
If you’re not okay, get help. I wish I had done it sooner.
A lot of you have seen me at my lowest. Now it’s time to ride the highs.
Thank you to everyone who has supported me and believed in me over the years. I genuinely wouldn’t be here without you.
And thank you to Jagex and everyone who worked on RuneFest. It was the best one I’ve ever been to.
2025 broke me.
2026 showed me I could put myself back together.
