This week is the conclusion of many students' first year @unevadareno, and for many others it's graduation! In our latest podcast, freshman @RSJNevada student @DurandRSJ meets with this year's Senior Scholar, @Cooking_Catfish to share their experiences with each other.
Very important for journalists covering current events, and just good practices in general to keep trans people supported in the news.

As news coverage of Roe v. Wade continues, it is important to remember that people who are not women do get pregnant and do get abortions.
With that in mind, here are some of our best practices. 🧵
Guess it's out now! I'm so honored to be the Senior Scholar for the @RSJNevada this semester! It's been a crazy four years!
Congrats to @usnico her mentor and to @RSJNevada Senior Scholar @Cooking_Catfish who contributed so much amazing work here for the Sandbox as part of her journey. Happy trails to Denver, they will be lucky to have you! unr.edu/nevada-today/news/20…
I'm still looking for people who would be willing to share their stories with me! I'll be in Northern California March 12-19 if you're available!
One of my final projects this semester about climate change and the effects it's had on people. I'm hoping to interview people who lived in Paradise when the Camp Fire happened and learn about what's happened since.
I'd like to tell the story of how our community is still around!
I'll be in Northern CA March 12-19 and can travel to Paradise, Magalia, Chico, Yuba City, Oroville and Sacramento. If you're interested please DM/ email me at [email protected].
Check out my first piece with @vv_unr featuring Indigo! They are a super awesome person on campus that you should know about.
Check out our newest piece about Indigo Hinojos' activism and undergrad research into the history of the Women's Resource Center that used to live on campus.
