I don’t like thinking about the past. When I was a kid during The First Wave, I took everything for granted. It’s what you do when you’re young. But I never thought I’d miss the sunlight enough to curl up in the corner of the slingshot room, watching bare slivers of yellow reflect off the pods as they come shooting down, bringing Raiders back home. Yesterday, I saw some gunslingers from Murteta with sunburns on their foreheads. Sunburns! They see enough of it for it to sear them. It fills me with jealousy. I’ve always been too cowardly to be a Raider, but this Soul’s Offering, I think it’s time. I’m going to go topside – and finally pay my respects.

I actually appreciate Eurogamer doing x/5 ratings. it shows how dumb Metacritic is as a concept. using numbers to judge art, then combining dozens of subjective opinions, for one Super Number… is extremely goofy. it removes all nuance and context from reviews. bad for gaming.

I think the annoying thing about DMZ discourse is, we finally got a real extraction shooter with risk, a decent start for the economy and lots to unpack. And all everyone is doing is asking for "remove this" "change this" "give us pve this" Go play another game instead bro 😭

My analysis is: "It is extremely unlikely Gears of War: E-Day contributed to a huge surge of new Game Pass subscriptions" and "PS5 sales would likely not have come close to making the game profitable."
