After hearing my last name be pronounced with the wrong vowel sounds/B instead of V for the last 7 years by my Spanish speaking students(12 to 30s), some of these quote tweets are hilarious.

Black Americans do have our culture erase and the effects of racism thrown in our face. Africans are seen as poor and homogeneous. Caribbeans face a mixture of both. I think examples from coons do not show the truth of millions of people in various communities/regions
Y’all lazy. My parents were in jail for most of my childhood, BUT they asked me what I was watching on TV & would double check there was no bad stuff with TV guides. Plus have my grandma/guardian check too. If they can use their hour to see me to ask me about TV, so can you. 🤷🏽♂️
