An aerial from almost 70 years ago shows just how much, but also how little has changed here.
Many more trees than back then, but much of Colt's superb bunkering remains very much intact.
A journey down our opener, the beginning of a demanding round.
In the words of Peter McEvoy: "at 440 yards and with a prevailing wind from the left, a par is a good score for anyone."
Our greenkeepers have done a superb job surrounding our greens with short grass.
Here's why short grass matters.
A golden age design always asks questions and tempts you into shots you may later regret.
Our 4th hole is the perfect example.
This past Sunday and Tuesday, our 2027 Men's and Ladies' Captains each drove in to formally open their captaincies.
We're grateful to all members who attended and supported the events, and we wish Ian Davidson and Claire Barker all the best for a fantastic year ahead.
The perfect members' course lets you get multiple loops in from the clubhouse, and that's exactly what our course offers. Short walks between green and tee, a variety of quick loops, with still just enough daylight left for a few evening holes.
Meet Barney, our Head Professional and a valued long-standing member. He knows Copt Heath inside out and will give you the warm welcome our club is known for.
Recent tree removal and thoughtful course management have made our Harry Colt layout welcoming to all abilities. Every hole remains playable for newcomers, yet still challenges our better players.
Tom and his team have done brilliant work maintaining and improving our course through challenging summer conditions. Their dedication often goes unnoticed, but it's deeply appreciated. Thank you for everything you do.

Our balcony, south facing and about as good a spot as there is, still the place to be on a warm afternoon. A cool drink, the eighteenth below, and not much reason to be anywhere else.
With the Walker Cup underway at Lahinch, a fact worth remembering closer to home. We remain the only club to have provided the GB&I captain for both the Walker Cup and Curtis Cup at the same time, Peter McEvoy in 1999 and 2001, and Claire Dowling in 2000.
A brief heritage overview with member and golf course historian, Simon Haines.
From an unfinished Harry Vardon course to a Harry Colt design at the peak of his powers, we remain proud to have 13 original Colt greens intact today.
Thanks to the summer heat, our course is playing exactly as Colt would have liked.
Firm, fast fairways that require thought and strategy on each hole, rewarding a positional game over brute force.
Congratulations to 16-year-old Club Champion Kamraan Arastu, the leading am at the British Par 3 by 12 shots, after a 6-under final round!
Kamraan also won the Pro-Am by one shot with Clarke Dennis.
A fantastic achievement. We’re all very proud of you, Kamraan! 👏
