DeBoer said #Isles will go 11/7. Wants to get Mayfield in. MacLean coming out.
Said fourth lines underlying numbers haven’t been good as of late.
Said he needs more from depth in general.
I feel like there are more things to be worried about.
New: Mayor Zohran Mamdani and a group of his friends have been secretly using the NYPD Police Academy’s gymnasium in Queens to play pickup basketball — scrambling some operations at the facility.

Per @AHLTransactions, the #Isles recalled Aitcheson & Engvall from Hamilton (paper transactions; they won't play) after placing Maccelli & Ritchie on IR.
Why did they make these moves?
I broke it down as simply as possible @TheHockeyNews:

It’s still insane to believe #Isles D Matthew Schaefer has 2 goals and 8 assists in 11 games this season.
He actually could be at 4 goals and 6 assists if two of shots weren’t deflected, but no one’s complaining about that.
Schaef could be at 5 or 6 goals right now, too.
Can only imagine what’s gonna happen when Barzal is ready to come back.

Isles had a 3.5% to win the #1 pick. Their franchise changed. Matthew Schaefer has been nothing short of exceptional
Schaefer has 25G 44A 69P in 93GP. He ranks 11th among all defenseman in points since he entered the league.
Just 19 years old #Isles
