New Core-A video is out, but this one is on the official 2XKO Youtube. It's about blocking, but it basically reveals all the invisible stuff that gets new players killed in FGs. Thanks for letting us keep all the jokes, was sure the long combo gag would get axed lol. @Play2XKO

I was incredibly honored to be invited by the French government to a state dinner with the President of Korea and the President of France. I never imagined I would have an experience like this in my lifetime. I’m truly grateful and deeply honored. Thank you so much. 🇰🇷🇫🇷

This is tough. It’s not the outcome that any of us had hoped for. I’ve been playing fighting games for over 30 years, made so many amazing friends along the way and have been lucky to experience some unbelievable moments across many legendary titles. I dreamed of one day creating something special for the FGC to help enable even more of those moments. I wanted to give back to the community that had given me so much. 2XKO is the culmination of that dream. This is a dream shared by every member of our team. The amount of love and passion everyone who has ever worked on this game has put into it is unreal. The team delivered a fighting game where you could fight against your friends or choose to take on the world together alongside them. They delivered and elevated League of Legends champions in ways that only a fighting game could. We made a called shot when 2XKO was born as a mixed mode solo/duo game that if two of the top 8 slots of Evo were Duos, then we have achieved our goal of making playing with a friend a competitively viable endeavor in fighting games. The Evo crowd was treated with the first 2XKO top 8 match on finals day being a duo vs duo match sending one team home and deciding who is the strongest duo. This was unbelievably special for the team. Even though we are ending active development at the end of the year, I am glad that folks will be able to play 2XKO beyond that, and that the love poured into it will live on. The team is giving everything they’ve got to deliver a final version of 2XKO to you that everyone can be proud of. We can’t wait for you to play Lux and Samira, so please look forward to them. Thank you to everyone who has worked on 2XKO for creating a really special game, and thank you to all of the players who created moments we will never forget.

Like others who have been enjoying the game, it's sad to see this. It's no secret the game hasn't been commercially viable for Riot, especially with the amount of time in development. There will be plenty of speculation about what went wrong and what could have been done better, but what matters to me most is that the game will still be playable after support stops. My hope is that it gets to a good state by December before balance changes freeze, and that we'll have a solid free-to-play honer's FG with excellent netcode, duos, and enough-ish characters with a good number of fuses. There's a lot of game there to play. And no more ranked mode will be interesting, especially in light of @pattheflip's article "Why ranked sucks and why we can't get rid of it". It seems like they're getting rid of it. Instead there will be a unified casual mode with skill-based matchmaking. Competition will only be available in tournaments. And a big part of why they can do this now is because the game will no longer be expected to be a commercial driver. This is weirdly relieving because it makes conversations about the game as a product incredibly boring now. People can just play without worrying about how little FGC-saving the game is doing, and the people who don't play will go doom on something else. If you like the game, keep playing. This hasn't changed. – at Seoul, Republic of Korea

Had a real "kids these days" moment. My niece asked me what Patreon was all about, and as I was explaining, her boyfriend chimed in and said "it's like OnlyFans but for you know, regular things". She got it instantly. – at Seoul, Republic of Korea

We got to chat with @pattheflip as our Core-A Podcast guest (again!), about the things that people might 'assume' things and get carried away online while they may not be the most informed of their so called 'favorite activity'. #fgc youtu.be/TQSfEVahq2s?si=uXIt…
