One of the things I appreciate about @ocean_mining, DATUM, and @CoreX_Hosting is that they make it practical for independent miners to participate.
Bitcoin Block 968503 is a great reminder that Bitcoin mining doesn't have to belong only to the largest industrial players. Seeing a very small independent mining operation contribute the winning share for this OCEAN block is exactly the kind of decentralization that makes the Bitcoin network stronger.
Every valid hash still has a chance.
Kudos to everyone building tools and infrastructure that help independent miners compete. 👏

🚀 CONGRATULATIONS TO DTHOMAS73778 HE HIT A BITCOIN CASH BLOCK TODAY FROM OUR 9PH $35 2 HOUR RENTAL! $809 $BCH Block!
Using @Braiins Hashpower.
Love to see it.
🎁 9 PETAHASH BITCOIN HASHRATE GIVEAWAY! 💥
I just tested Braiins OS on my Antminer S21 XP and honestly… I wasn't expecting this kind of difference. 👀
My S21 XP was running Bitmain's stock firmware at around 89–90°F ambient temperature.
With the stock firmware I was seeing roughly:
⛏️ 268–270 TH/s
⚡ ~3,900W at the wall
📊 ~14.55 J/TH
Then I installed Braiins OS and let the miner go through its autotuning process.
After tuning, I was getting roughly:
⛏️ 270+ TH/s
⚡ ~3,740W at the wall
📊 ~13.75 J/TH
So we're talking about roughly 160W less power while maintaining or slightly increasing the hashrate.
That's the part that really caught my attention.
I also went through some of the features in Braiins OS, including the individual ASIC chip monitoring, autotuning, continuous tuning, power/hashrate targets, fan controls and Dynamic Performance Scaling (DPS).
The individual chip monitoring was especially interesting because you can actually see the health, frequency and hashrate of the chips on each hashboard.
And because electricity is one of the biggest costs in Bitcoin mining, even a relatively small efficiency improvement can become meaningful when you're running multiple ASICs.
After seeing these results, I'm seriously considering installing @Braiins OS on the rest of my S21 XPs, even my other Bitmain $BTC miners.
🎁 I'm also giving away 9.09 PH of Bitcoin/Bitcoin Cash hashpower for 2 hours — roughly $34–$35 in value.
To enter, comment on the video and tell me if you've used Braiins OS or another ASIC firmware before. Let me know what miner you used and your hashrate + power consumption.
I'm really curious to see what results everyone else is getting.

The Bitcoin mining industry doesn't stand still and the hardware is proof.
Word going around is that Bitmain may be pulling back on air-cooled Antminer S23 batches to push harder into hydro units. Can't confirm 100% but the direction is unmistakable Bitmain's S23 Hydro line is already the efficiency leader at 9.5 J/TH, running near silent, and it's clearly where the flagship engineering focus is heading.
That shift matters because efficiency gains from hydro are useless if your hosting site can't actually support the infrastructure for it.
Which is why CoreX Hosting (formerly Iowa Mining) is a story worth looking into right now.
✅ Nathan Sandridge started as a home GPU miner, tinkering in a small shed in Iowa.
✅ That hobby became a self welded, retrofitted 40ft shipping container, built from scratch with no blueprint. 1.2MW, ~260 miners.
✅ Two years later, they outgrew it. Second site opened: 2.5MW, ~525 miners, built on modular @Digital_Shovel pods instead of DIY.
✅ Rebranded to @CoreX_Hosting to scale bigger and go more global.
✅ And now, they host both air-cooled ASICs and the latest generation of hydro miners.
That last point is the one to watch. As manufacturers lean harder into hydro efficiency, hosting providers who already have both air and liquid infrastructure in place are the ones positioned to absorb the next wave of hardware, without customers having to find a new home for their fleet.
CoreX Hosting has open slots for new and existing clients right now, air or hydro, from 1 ASIC to 100.
