Last week I visited our Dalton, Georgia campus, a project I’m incredibly proud of.
Phase 2 is well underway, and the speed and quality of what we are delivering to our first customer here is a direct reflection of how this company executes.
Seeing the scale and progress in person never gets old.

Important perspective from NVIDIA highlighting the facts around water usage in modern data centers.
As technology evolves, so does the infrastructure that powers it. The industry has an opportunity, and responsibility, to better educate the public on how today's facilities are designed for greater efficiency and sustainability.
At Core Scientific, we're committed to helping lead that conversation with transparency and data-driven insights.
Water usage has been a hot topic in the AI data center world, but the numbers may surprise you.
According to the Manhattan Institute, data centers use 0.2 percent of daily water usage in the U.S. and that number has dramatically decreased in the past few years due to a new method: liquid cooling.
By moving to 45°C liquid cooling, AI factories in favorable climates can use dry coolers instead of conventional cooling-tower-based systems, cutting facility cooling water use from roughly 2.6M gallons per MW per year to near zero.
Liquid cooling enables AI factories to be both water and energy efficient, while creating opportunities for heat reuse and dispersal to local communities, allowing these factories to become energy grid assets.

The last question of my TD Cowen discussion was simple:
"What keeps you up at night?"
For me, it's making sure we're building more than infrastructure. It's how we can support the communities we operate in, create opportunities, and leave a lasting positive impact.

Last week, we reported our Q1 2026 results and, more importantly, gave an update on the continued execution of our strategy to build one of the leading high-density digital infrastructure platforms for advanced compute.
Over the past year, we’ve moved from vision to delivery, with ~245 MW currently generating revenue, and we’ve demonstrated the ability to deliver high-density capacity at scale across five sites.
We also recently closed a $3.3 billion capital raise, supported by our CoreWeave contract. This gives us the flexibility to move faster, securing land, power, and equipment ahead of contracts and advancing sites toward RFS dates.
Our next phase is already underway. We’re scaling key campuses like Muskogee and Pecos toward gigawatt-level potential through a multi-pronged approach, including a mix of grid-connected and behind-the-meter power solutions.
What’s clear is that the market is evolving quickly, and so are we.
Core Scientific's first quarter 2026 results are out!
- Strengthened the capital structure through today's closing of a $3.3 billion offering of 7.75% senior secured notes due 2031, supporting strategic data center development projects.
- Expanded the Company's total gross power capacity pipeline to 4.5 GW, including planned 1.5 GW expansions at each of the Company's Muskogee, Oklahoma and Pecos, Texas campuses.
- Closed on the acquisition of land and power in Hunt County, Texas for approximately $233 million, which is expected to support ~430 MW of gross power capacity, with an approved ERCOT interconnection ramp schedule.
- Billing for 243 MW of capacity, representing approximately $350 million in average annualized colocation GAAP revenue.
“Core Scientific is differentiated by our ability to combine capital readiness with speed to delivery. We are investing ahead of contracts, advancing ready-for service dates and moving development forward across multiple sites. That execution capability is accelerating customer discussions and reinforcing the value of our high-density compute infrastructure platform.” - Core Scientific CEO @_Adam_Sullivan1

Today, we announced a multi-tiered strategy to scale our Pecos, Texas campus to approximately 1.5 GW of gross power capacity, a significant expansion in a market where the fundamentals are already in place: access to power, strong utility partnerships, and proven operational execution at scale.

A little over a year ago, we began building the next phase of @Core_Scientific. Since then, we’ve made significant progress, executing on multiple large-scale builds in parallel and delivering megawatts. We’ve built a repeatable execution engine for AI infrastructure at scale, one designed to convert power, capital, and demand into long-term, high-value colocation capacity.
Last week marked another major step forward for the company. We shared several important updates, including:
- Delivering at Scale: Energized ~350 MW of capacity to date, and last year we energized as many megawatts as our closest publicly traded peers combined.
- Strategic Capital to Support Growth: Secured up to $1B in strategic financing with Morgan Stanley, which enhanced our financial flexibility as we execute our development and go-to-market strategy.
- Power Expansion at New Location: Announced an agreement to expand into Hunt County, Texas, which is expected to support ~430 MW of gross power capacity, with an approved ERCOT interconnection ramp schedule.
- Power Expansion at Existing Locations: Increased gross power capacity by ~300 MW in Dalton, Georgia, and Pecos, Texas.
Core Scientific is building real infrastructure, at scale, in the right markets. The work is complex, but we have the team, the experience, and the discipline to execute.
I’m extremely proud of the Core Scientific team and the speed and scale at which they continue to deliver.
We are just getting started.
In 2025, we energized as many megawatts as our closest publicly traded peers combined.
Across our campuses, that translated into:
- 1 million square feet of data center shell
- ~$2 billion in installed infrastructure
- 5+ million labor hours
As of this week, we've energized ~350 megawatts of AI infrastructure.
Here's how that progress took shape across our campuses ⬇️

In Q1, we remained focused on executing our three strategic priorities:
- Diversifying our customer base
- Delivering on our contracts with CoreWeave
- Expanding our data center capacity
We made significant progress across all three. Our customer pipeline continues to grow, construction is advancing rapidly across CoreWeave sites, and we’re pushing forward with plans to scale capacity through both our existing sites and new site development.
Strong execution starts with the right people. I’m proud of the Core Scientific team and the high level of execution they bring every day!
Core Scientific has announced its First Quarter 2025 Results!
- On track to deliver 250MW of billable capacity to CoreWeave by the end of this year and anticipate entering 2026 with annualized colocation revenue of approximately $360 million.
- First tranche of 8MW of billable capacity at Denton to be delivered to CoreWeave by the end of this month and an additional approximately 40MW by the end of this quarter.
- Ended the quarter with a strong liquidity position, including $778.6 million in cash and cash equivalents and digital assets, maintaining financial flexibility to execute on strategic organic and inorganic growth opportunities.
“This quarter marks an inflection point for Core Scientific. In a matter of months, we have transformed vision into execution, delivering infrastructure at scale and positioning ourselves at the center of one of the most important shifts in modern computing. The pace of demand for high-performance data infrastructure is accelerating, and our ability to move with speed and precision is setting us apart. We are not just expanding capacity; we are shaping the foundation for the next era of data center infrastructure.” - $CORZ CEO @_Adam_Sullivan1
