Iโm sick of idiots telling me Ukraine will have to concede land for peace
What part of their countries would they be willing to give up for no good reason?
How many of their fellow citizens would they be willing to abandon to systematic rape, looting, torture, murder & kidnap?

Reality is finally crashing down on the Kremlin: Trump can't deliver the easy capitulation putin was banking on.
In a telling moment of backdoor realisation, putinโs top aide, Yuri Ushakov, just exposed Moscow's deep desperation. He admits that dealing strictly with Trump and his real estate โdiplomatsโ, isn't working because Trump can't just bully Kyiv into submission. Instead, Russia is finally forced to accept a hard truth: they have to deal with a united Europe that stands firmly behind Ukraine. Desperate for progress, Moscow now wants Europe at the tableโproving once and for all that Trump's 'magic wand' has completely failed.
Pavel Zarubin: โIs such an option possible, if Zelensky continues to behave insolently toward the American administration, that the American administration will simply dictate and force him to make the decisions that the American administration considers correct?โ
Yuri Ushakov: โWell, you understand, even earlier there was an impression after Anchorage, too, that the American administration could dictate something like that and force Kyiv to fulfill it. But so far this hasn't quite worked out, because it's not enough to talk only with Kyiv; one needs to talk with the whole of Europe, which fully supports Kyiv, and perhaps Europe's position here is of a key character.โ

How is Donald Trumpโs criticism of President Zelensky interpreted in Moscow? โMoscow perceives these words as a mandate to continue military pressure,โ writes one Russian paper. 2026: Jeremy Hunt says we can't have Freedom of Movement with the EU because young people will not have jobs
2019: Jeremy Hunt saying he would tell people they have to lose their job because of Brexit, but he would do so "with a heavy heart"
My view:
Jeremy Hunt's position on jobs and Brexit is a remarkable example of political hypocrisy.
In 2019, he was prepared to accept British workers losing their livelihoods as the price of Brexit, expressing sympathy while defending a policy that could destroy their businesses.
Now, in 2026, he invokes the prospect of young British people losing out on jobs to oppose restoring freedom of movement.
Apparently, British jobs were an acceptable sacrifice when Brexit was the objective, but suddenly become a priority when closer European integration is being discussed.
And he conveniently ignores that freedom of movement would also give young Britons the opportunity to work across 27 EU countries.
You cannot credibly defend policies that put people's livelihoods at risk, then present yourself as their protector when it suits your political argument.

After Elon Musk acknowledged throttling Ukraine's Starlink access, many are now debating whether he is also throttling Ukraine-related accounts on X
This is demonstrably true. Previously, each Vatnik Soup thread received between 300k and 5M impressions. Now, we're lucky if we get 100k.
Our annual views have dropped from 700M to 280M. Posts about Ukraine shared by accounts with millions of followers barely get any traction, whereas our more generic posts about AI, for example, can get millions of views.
Ukraine is still one of the hottest topics on this platform, yet voices supporting the country are being throttled, just like Starlink/Starshield was.

Ukraine reportedly struck Russiaโs Energiya plant in Yelets, Lipetsk Oblast, with UK-supplied Storm Shadow cruise missiles on 25 October, according to the OSINT channel Exilenova+.
The plant manufactures batteries and specialized power sources used in several Russian weapons systems, including Iskander missiles, Kinzhal and Zircon missiles, and UMPB D-30SN guided glide bombs.
Exilenova+ described Energiya as Russiaโs only producer of batteries for glide bomb guidance modules and a key supplier of specialized power sources for missile systems.
These weapons are used in Russian attacks on Ukrainian cities, killing civilians and damaging residential buildings and civilian infrastructure.
The reported strike follows a series of Ukrainian attacks on facilities linked to Russiaโs military-industrial sector.

With some exceptions they're the same lot who while condemning the genocide in Gaza fully support Putin's war on Ukraine. SF MEPs consistently vote against or abstain on all EP resolutions in support of Ukraine. The hypocrisy is off the scale.

From someone who has lived in Ukraine over 30 years (me), this is bullshit. Hundreds of billions didn't flow to Ukraine - Ukraine's oligarchs made their (relatively modest) fortunes by ripping off Ukrainians, not foreigners.
Ukrainians are fighting to stop this happening again.

Russia & the Irish left
10 years studying Russian hybrid warfare & a lifetime studying the history of Ireland tells me there are likely very strong links between the Kremlin & the Irish far left.
Itโs in the playbook of both.
And Ireland is all but undefended.
