❓ How do I tell the difference between frog & toad spawn? ❓
📝 Frog spawn is laid in clumps in shallower water, where as toad spawn is laid in strings, usually wrapped around vegetation in slightly deeper water. ✔️

Have you ever seen this before? 'Star Jelly' is regurgitated frog spawn. Birds eat frogs, the jelly expands in the birds stomach upon coming into contact with moisture & the bird vomits it up. Sometimes it can be found full of tadpoles! #FridayFact (Photo Credit: Simon Clarke)

Although the overgrown and silt-filled garden pond was very small (only 1.5m across), the Come Forth for Wildlife team had to temporarily move 18 well-hidden adult frogs out of it while we restored the pond to its former glory (before popping the happy frogs back in)
