One point on Cummings' account of trip to 'outskirts' of Barnard Castle: they were seen on the far side of town from most likely and direct route. It seems weird that an eyesight test drive to the 'outskirts' takes you through town to the river. theguardian.com/politics/202…

Dominic Cummings complains at his Downing Street press conference that there had been a long string of inaccurate stories about him. Welcome to my world.

Cummings said he warned about i.a. corona virus in 2019.
Thing is, he didn't. References to SARS and corona virus were added to his blog post on pandemic risks sometime between April and May of this year.

One aspect of Boris Johnson’s statement was absolutely clear: the economy and profit come before people and health.

What the nation was looking for this evening was clarity and consensus.
The truth is, the Prime Minister’s statement raises more questions than it answers.
Those questions need answering if the public is going to have confidence in what happens next.

Well that’s weird because Downing Street repeatedly told us when Johnson was actually in hospital that he was in good spirits, had his red boxes with him, was in charge and sitting up engaging positively. Which version is true? Both can’t be

It's the 'Corbyn test'.
Whenever people cry about Johnson being harshly treated, the question to ask is what they would themselves say if it were Corbyn in number 10.

Please can all politicians stop talking about the PM having a lot of fight in him. I wish him well. But as one who has had cancer I can tell you this suggestion that disease respects those with “fight” is deeply offensive. It implies that those who lose are somehow to blame.

Only 'key workers' should go to work?
What about those on zero-hour's?
The self-employed?
The low-earners who can't afford not to work?
The govt need to give us ALL the security to stay at home.
Nobody should be risking lives to pay bills.
This is not good enough.

This was 2 weeks ago. 1000s had already died all around the world, the WHO was already begging government's to enforce distancing & to "test test test." This gross negligence by the Johnson's gov should never be forgotten nor forgiven. #UKlockdown
