This is the reality.
This is the actual data on UK trade post-Brexit.

The reality is UK total (goods & services) exports to EU in 2025 were:
· ⬆️ 18.9% on 2015 (pre-referendum)
· ⬆️ 3.8% on 2019 (before leaving EU)
· ⬆️3.2% on last year.
All in real terms (source: ONS trade statistics)

When the energy cuts out this winter, and we’re sitting around in the dark wearing 6 jumpers, will we be able to light our fire or wood burning stove, or will we then be prosecuted for exceeding particulate emissions, Tobias?
This is really quite astonishing.
This government through ineptitude and purposeful poor policy decisions (along with previous gov) on energy, defence, food, foreign policy and economics, now expects us to sit with a bag of candles radio and bottled water.
This is on you.
Uncivilised, culturally backwards malcontents who can only destroy, and can’t create, are rampaging in France, and threatening to do the same elsewhere.
What has happened in Limoges is enraging.
It’s time the issue was widely addressed. It cannot go on.

Excellent article in the Wall Street Journal on Britain's unsustainable welfare spending:
— 7 million people (over 10% of the UK population) now claim at least one or more sickness or disability benefit. This is up 60% in the past 6 years.
— The UK will spend over £100 billion pound this year on sickness and disability benefits. This is projected to increase to £130 billion a year by 2030.
— No other Western country has seen such a rise in disability claims. In the US, 10.6 million people claim some form of federal disability payment, despite the population being 5x larger.
— 1 in 7 new cars sold in the UK are under the Motability scheme; however, only 10% of cars are modified for a disability. In one dealership, 25 out of 26 cars they sold in August were all under the Motability scheme.
— Charities, consultants, YouTubers and TikTokers have all sprung up, telling people how to maximise benefit access. Some of these videos receive hundreds of thousands of views. Over 1,000 people a day are signing on for PIP.
— According to a Government survey from 2024, 25% of the UK's working age population could theoretically be classed as disabled under the current criteria and access these benefits.
— A minimum wage worker who works 40 hours per week would take home around £1,880 per month after tax; however, if you are classed as too sick to work and claim PIP, you can take home £2,000 tax free per month.

🚨 Chelsea’s front three João Pedro, Cole Palmer and Morgan Rogers have recorded 27 goal contributions (15 goals, 12 assists) in all competitions this season.
They rank as the second-most productive attacking trio in Europe, with only Barcelona’s front three ahead of them. 🔵

This gets more and more embarrassing for Burnham.
It’s absolutely within his gift to bring down fuel prices.
Instead he’s acknowledging that his ‘action’ of a recommendation to ‘check Google’ isn’t a silver bullet.
Is he for real?? Why is anybody voting for this clown????

I know this isn’t a silver bullet. It might help some people find cheaper fuel, but it doesn’t mean that’s all we’re doing to help people with the cost of living.
We’re cutting VAT on electricity bills. Capping bus fares at £2 in England. Giving disabled people 24/7 free bus travel. Making it easier to cancel subscriptions. Cutting business rates for pubs, clubs and music venues. Stopping schools from demanding endless expensive branded uniforms. Ensuring if your train is cancelled, you can use your ticket on other operators free of charge. Fuel duty is staying frozen to the end of the year.
Yes, on their own, I accept that these things don’t seem like much when people’s lives have gotten harder. There’s a lot still to do.
But I won’t shy away from the big issues either. It’s why I made announcements last week on more public control of water, energy, and housing, to make the basics better for people long-term.
Together, these changes add up, and no matter how small it may seem, I will pull every single lever I can to help people, whenever I can.

Gaza is the most lied about war in history. There was no genocide, no famine, no intentional targeting of children. These are modern-day blood libels. We need to expose all the Islamo-left lowlifes who spread these lethal falsehoods, says Brendan O’Neill

October 7th. We should never forget the horror, depravity and degeneracy of what happened at Nova. Murder, sadism, and evil.

October 7 2023 is the most documented and intensely filmed crime of mass murder and atrocious sadism in all of human history. Those who celebrated it on that day, October 8 2023 and the following weeks shocked us all.
Today should only be a sorrowful day. Those who march today of all days in London or elsewhere are not only rejecting and mocking the most elementary decency but celebrating the killing, torture and rape of ordinary people. It is hard to think of anything more degenerate and depraved.
The decision to allow this march today is unconscionable, cowardly and despicable @metpoliceuk @ShabanaMahmood, an abuse and degradation of our values of free speech and assembly, particularly after countless demonstrations that have already taken place. I am afraid it reveals a saddening and alarming void at the moral centre of this government and police that should worry us all.
This should worry people.
Lisa Nandy has said that the social media ban for under-16s is just the starting point.
She praised Keir Starmer and Liz Kendall for beginning the process of increasing online censorship, and welcomed Andy Burnham’s decision to accelerate it.
At Labour Party conference, Nandy said the ban was “a staging post to what must be a very interventionist state, policing and regulating the online space so that people are safe”.
We should recognise that this is no longer just about protecting children online. It is about giving the state greater control over what we can and cannot say online.

The original sin of Brexit was not allowing Vote Leave to own the project after victory.
In wrestling power from the people who won the referendum, insane internal machinations within the Parliamentary Conservative Party prevented those who campaigned for the outcome from delivering that outcome.
From the start the whole project was decapitated.
And so here we are now, ten years on, having repealed precious little EU law, pursuing no supply side reform, indeed still building a £125m bat tunnel in order that HS2 abide by the retained EU Habitats Directive.
For the best part of a decade the political class stole the victory from the people.
And now they have the temerity to say their own failure is actually the fault of the people for wanting an independent country.
Rose tinted bilge. As usual when it comes to the EU.
Happy to explain.
Rejoining the EU gives the regions more funding, greater markets and a say at the European level.
The regions would get access back to Cohesion Fund which gives cash to the regions. Your seat in Blackburn would class as a less developed region and be eligible to greater funding from the EU level.
Had we stayed EU funding for South Yorkshire would have risen from about £100 per person to over £420. That would be coming back and heading, in your case, to Blackburn council.
Then there’s the markets. What our regions desperately need is a chance to reindustrialise and get goods flowing to markets. The goods trade has been so badly hit by Brexit that our goods trade with the EU by as much as a fifth and resulted in UK goods exports running 12 per cent lower than if we had stayed in the single market. Without access to the Single Market, we have no chance of giving people what they want which is manufacturing driven growth.
Then there is a say at the European level. In practice, Britain has had to keep European standards because we mostly export to Europe to be able to sell our goods. Having a say and a veto in Europe is the real taking back control with the Regions getting their own MEPs and being able to join the EU Committee of the Regions.
And let’s not forget all the extensive funding the EU has available for cross border and inter-regional projects not to mention industrial policy.
Manchesterism in Europe means.
Maximum power at local level.
Maximum funding to the regions.
Maximum open market for goods.
Maximum voice at the European level.
They are not the government’s, or local authorities, to give.
This is absolutely disgraceful. Years of inertia and terrible government policy on house building and they believe the answer is to seize private property.
Vote them out.
