⚛️ Cosmos Hub Gov ⚛️ Voting period is now open for Proposal #885  “v15 Software Upgrade” If approved by governance, this software upgrade proposal is expected to go on the mainnet on March 20th. v15 is focused on a major upgrade to the Cosmos SDK to version 0.47. This release adopts v0.47.8-ics-lsm, a unique branch of the Cosmos SDK that incorporates support for both ICS and LSM.  With this upgrade are included several updates to critical dependencies to enhance functionality and security: - IBC to be upgraded to version 7.3.1 - CometBFT to version 0.37.4 - Interchain Security to be updated to version 3.3.1-lsm - Packet Forward Middleware to 7.1.2 Additionally, this release brings the minimum commission rate staking parameter to 5%. This change, in line with governance proposal 826, updates the commission rate for all validators. Validators with a commission rate lower than 5% prior to the upgrade will see their rate adjusted to 5% post-upgrade.  Following the approval of governance proposal 860, this upgrade includes clawing back the unvested funds from Proposal 104 to the community pool.  V15 marks a significant milestone in the Cosmos Hub journey. It enhances and updates critical dependencies, ensuring the Hub remains ahead of the latest Interchain Stack enhancements. ⚛️ Cosmos Hub Gov ⚛️ Voting period is now open for Proposal #858 ‘’Allocate 900k ATOM as Cosmos Hub Protocol Owned Liquidity in the Osmosis stATOM/ATOM pool’’ This proposal seeks to grow ATOM liquid staking by allocating 900,000 ATOM to stATOM/ATOM pools. @osmosis proposes itself as the receiver of the requested liquidity, being recognized as a central hub with high activity and volumes in the #ATOM Economy. @sunnya97, the proposal's author, considers using Osmosis's concentrated liquidity pools to achieve this result as highly effective, given its significant trading volumes and established role in the ecosystem DeFi. The proposal suggests placing 90% of the funds in a static liquidity position on Osmosis and 10% in the upcoming stATOM/ATOM Dynamic S+ vault on @QuasarFi for enhanced effectiveness over time. The above LP’ing strategy will give the Cosmos Hub community pool revenue based on swap fees. Proposal #848 is approved ✅ The max inflation parameter will be reduced from 20% to 10%, bringing ATOM’s current inflation rate to 10%. This decision comes with the highest turnout in Cosmos Hub history: 72.7%

⚛️ Cosmos Hub Gov ⚛️ Voting period is now open for Proposal #853 ‘’Allocate 600k ATOM for liquid staking growth to pSTAKE’’ This is a community spend proposal aiming to boost ATOM liquid staking by allocating 600,000 ATOM as Cosmos Hub Protocol Owned Liquidity (stkATOM Hub POL) on Astroport (@Neutron_org) and Dexter (@PersistenceOne). Details include: - Liquid stake 300k ATOM with pSTAKE to mint stkATOM - Provide 350k ATOM worth of liquidity on a new stkATOM/ATOM pool on Astroport Neutron - Provide 250k ATOM worth of liquidity on the stkATOM/ATOM metastable pool on Dexter Persistence - stkATOM Hub POL multisig operational for at least one year In return, pSTAKE Finance committed to sharing 15% of its total ATOM liquid staking revenue with Cosmos Hub and waiving off the 5% protocol fee for liquid staking the 300k ATOM. The author of the proposal considers that this Liquidity-as-a-Service (LaaS) has the potential to generate revenue for the Cosmos Hub, strengthen Cosmos LSTfi, diversify the Community Pool's exposure, and increase stkATOM demand, aligning ecosystems within and outside the 'ATOM Economic Zone.'
