Just a reminder for incoming students & their parents (especially the parents): Final HS transcripts DO NOT need to be in before a student's orientation session. We know it is a challenge for HS's get them ready quickly, so get it in when its ready, but at least by early August.

Why take an Advanced Placement class?
After all, high school is a pressure cooker. You already have to take the SAT, apply to college, and keep up with your extracurriculars 🤩
The last thing you may want to do is take a very demanding course, especially one that's optional. But we recommend you consider it 😅

Three admission essay suggestions: 1) Don't say "I'm writing this essay" or "my essay topic is". We know it's an essay. 2) Start with something about you. 3) Finish with something about you.
In other words, the essay response should be about you. Use the topic to focus on you.

Three things you control every day are your ATTITUDE, your EFFORT and your ACTIONS. It doesn’t matter what others are doing or who you think is being unfair. Every day you can focus on being positive, working hard and making others around you better.
