The Prevention World lost a giant. George Bakris was the most prolific researcher, teacher and clinician in the history of hypertension. He will live on through his great work. I will remember him most as a great friend and colleague who was always eager to help with his amazing mind. May your memory be a blessing to all your many friends and family.

Even though I was raised to be viciously antisemitic. I was never so consumed with hate and darkness that I could rip down pictures of babies kidnapped by terrorists. People who do that are wholly devoid of humanity I can’t even comprehend it. And yet the videos of it happening seem endless.

Vericiguat has a class 2b indication in the US #heartfailure guidelines. First focus on class 1 indicated quadruple therapy (ARNI, BB, MRA, SGLT2i). That's hard enough to achieve by itself... I have yet to ever prescribe vericiguat. 🤷
