We grew up playing games like Dragon Age: Origins, Baldur's Gate, Neverwinter Nights, and Knights of the Old Republic.

The headline is right but the reasoning is just wrong.
Play a variety of games and you realise SBMM in all game modes ruins it..
HOWEVER
SBMM in this case is needed as Rivals and Champs are competitive game modes and advertised as that.
Champs having no SBMM makes no sense.
SBMM is the worse thing ever introduced into gaming.
It's killed all enjoyment in Call of Duty.
Another year of +1 -1 Champs records from October to the end of the cycle.
8 win players stuck on 8 wins.
10 win players stuck on 10 wins.

I'm a 13/14 win player... I want some weeks I'm scrapping around 9 wins. I want other weeks where I'm hitting 15. Hitting the EXACT same rank week in week out is boring.
Let Rivals be SBMM.
