National Action Plan for pesticides not aligned with SFI closures
The NAP focuses on increasing IPM, compliance and a new target to reduce risk, but is unclear how these will be supported and delivered without impacting farmers' competitiveness.

"It really doesn't have to be like this", Chair of @CommonsEFRA @amcarmichaelMP shared evidence from the Committee's inquiry and urged the Minister to engage with and protect our farming communities. 4/4

I’m pleased that you are so confident about tenant farmers. 70% of the land rented by tenants is from the private sector - many of whom may be impacted.
A quote from @roselandkennels “the tenanted sector may be the first to feel the impacts”
Pleasure to meet local farmers from Briercliffe, Cliviger and Burnley more generally with the NFU recently, to hear about their work and their support for our communities. We support farmers.
(To address this head on, on Inheritance Tax, I made clear that the changes won't impact tenant farmers (of which we have many), the measures will in fact help tackle land bankers and those using farm land to avoid tax, and only farms worth over £3M will even start to pay it.)

Not a hedgerow. Not a tree every 50metres…. 80 plus acre fields. Why is Wales expected to do all this carbon stuff???? #france
