Day 31 - Goals for next month. I'm intending on finding out as much about the Irish branch of my maternal grandfather's line, and maybe even find the spot this photo was taken I believe it's Lankhill Lough but it doesn't seem to appear on present day maps....

Currently catching up on @bettanyhughes Treasures of the World and debating with my husband as to who has more scarves (don't tell him but this actually isn't all of them) IMO Bettany is a treasure in and of herself - and exudes pure delight in her programmes
Has anyone got any idea on the makers of this cutlery - or know of any pieces up for sale? It 'may' have been obtained through Green Shield Stamps and is unbranded. Thanks in advance @TheRegencyCook tagging you in case you have any contacts in that area 🤞

I don't often photograph headstones unless there's a family connection but I've seen some stunners at Watts Chapel and in the churchyard at Alfriston. This is me when I found my 2g uncle's at Old Marnoch, where he had been the Minister.
Many thanks for people's suggestions about gifts of family tree charts - in the end I went with a variation - got my needles out and created this for my son & new daughter in law - their wedding was on Friday
Little bit late posting #AncestryHour - if you were going to do a small family tree as a wedding gift - would you just do parents and grandparents and what style would you choose? I'm wondering about bow-tie but have also seen a circular type one 🤔Thanks in advance

As I shared in the Curious Descendants Club forums it was breaking through a brick wall, finding a new 2nd cousin and receiving this photo of my Great-Grandfather and family including my Granddad 😊
