I think I get why everyone is so alarmist in VC every time there’s a downturn.
When @Creative_VC started, all of VC was smaller than certain single hedge funds. Then $1B+ funds emerged. Then it became common. Then Tiger, etc.
Everyone’s been waiting for the shoe to drop.

Macro is hard and it's not "obvious" where markets go. Expectations are priced in. It's a feature of markets/finance.
Founders shouldn't sit around being macro forecasters and should just focus on building strong businesses with "traditional" metrics (revenue/margin/etc)
