As enterprise AI shifts from individual copilots to coordinated groups of agents, the development challenge is changing with it: teams need to move faster without losing visibility over what agents can access, which tools they can call and how they behave in production. For idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis, slowing decline has long been the therapeutic benchmark. @EndeavorBioMed latest Phase 2b results point to the possibility of doing more. In the 24-week WHISTLE-PF trial, taladegib (ENV-101) met its primary endpoint, delivering a statistically significant improvement in lung function versus placebo. The study also met multiple key secondary endpoints, including reductions in lung fibrosis and increases in total lung capacity measured through quantitative HRCT imaging. The trial enrolled 213 patients across 74 sites in 14 countries. The significance lies in what the treatment is designed to address. Current therapies for IPF can slow the loss of lung function, but do not halt or reverse disease progression. Taladegib targets the Hedgehog signalling pathway involved in the abnormal wound-healing process that drives fibrosis, and Endeavor is now preparing to engage regulators on plans for Phase 3 development. This is an important clinical milestone for Endeavor BioMedicines, a CE-Ventures portfolio company, and for a programme pursuing a fundamentally different approach to one of the most challenging fibrotic lung diseases.
