I was requested to compare another rare category of bowlers, so this post is about the comparison between Chinaman bowlers - Kuldeep Yadav and Noor Ahmad. Once again even though they fall in the same category of bowling type, both have their own unique styles. Kuldeep as one would imagine is more aggressive whereas Noor falls in the defensive type because of the tight lines he bowls. 1. Release points: Kuldeep's release points are a lot close to the stumps, whereas Noor likes to bowl from wide channels which allows him to crease an angle that he prefers bowling with. Also, Noor looks slightly side-armish, whereas Kuldeep likes to bowl with relatively high arm action from closer to stumps which allows him to impart more spin. +
Matheesha Pathirana and Nuwan Thushara are often compared with each other as they fall into the same 'Malinga' category of bowlers but are they really similar to each other? Let's try to analyse Feel free to RT/Share/Like if you find this useful!! 1. Release points: Pathirana is about 10cms taller than Thushara and yet his release points are below Thushara's. Pathirana's release points are just above the stumps and most of the times he releases the ball from an awkward height (very similar to umpire's chin/neck position) Thushara on the other hand is slightly less round arm, he also tends to use the width of the crease which is not that common with Pathirana. +

Was discussing this with a friend from the industry sometime back. The ultimate question that we had no answer to was - “why would an average want to read that analysis?” The demand for analysis that a lot of us used to do is now restricted to a few handful T20 teams.
Cricket twitter is done and dusted. Gen Z has no interest at all.. oldies are occupied in life.. unreal downfall of this game.. especially a country that has higher viewership.. BCCI and streaming sponsors need to look at the dynamics and revive the lost glory!

But what exactly is the reason they don’t want to continue with Rohit? Can those so called angry selectors come out and explain their reasons in a presser?
🚨BCCI Officials interfere in team Selection Matter.🚨[Sports Tak] -What the BCCI Secretary said about Rohit Sharma's retirement news falls outside his domain, that is the selectors' job. By doing this, the Secretary has demonstrated that they are interfering in team selection matters. The secretary's role is merely to convene the selection meeting. -Selectors are unhappy with BCCI Secretary Saikia’s statement. The selectors feel deceived.

No over the top celebrations from both the batters or the dressing room, I am sure they truly believe its not an upset. These are very good signs for test cricket.
The most significant result in Bangladesh's cricket history?

Bangladesh lead by 228! Thoroughly impressed with how they have approached this test so far.

The talking points should be team’s form, selection inconsistencies and middle order’s no-show on many occasions, but this so called reporter after every series, simply repeats his script on Rohit Sharma. Stop crying already.
🚨Rohit Sharma displayed selfish play in England.🚨 "A senior BCCI official remarked that the runs Rohit Sharma scored in England were for himself and brought no benefit to the team, his innings were selfish." -[Abhishek Tripathi,Ray Sports Cricket]

Hardik is still a top player, can walk into any T20 team in the world, but I don’t get this obsession with captaincy. He is a proper asset, needs to be used smartly. Still the best all rounder in the white ball circuit (by some margin) in my opinion.

India would then need 🇿🇦 South Africa to take plenty of points off Australia, while 🇦🇺 Australia and 🇳🇿 New Zealand take points off each other. But even that won’t be enough — India would still need to win almost everything from their remaining 7 Tests against Australia & NZ. +

One thing is clear: India cannot afford to fall further behind. Sri Lanka is where it begins. link to full article: cricaspect.substack.com/p/in… -thread ends-
