This is the Shinde Wasti (Marunji)–Hinjawadi road, which residents say was constructed just about 2 months ago. The current condition of the road is raising questions about construction quality and durability.
A newly constructed road should not deteriorate this quickly. Authorities need to inspect the stretch and address the issue if construction deficiencies are found.

Lakhs of people were stranded on the Mumbai–Pune Highway. Instead of addressing the crisis, the social media gang of Devendra Fadnavis and Eknath Shinde is busy lighting “incense sticks” of PR by circulating reels of police distributing 100–200 water bottles.
Is distributing water bottles the job of the police? The police’s real responsibility was to shut down toll plazas, stop people from entering the highway, turn vehicles back, and identify and assist patients and passengers in emergency situations.
Tanker management should have been handled by the NDRF and technical experts. In such a sensitive situation, which minister or secretary-level officer from the state was present on the spot? After information was received, was a helpline activated? When did the Chief Minister and Deputy Chief Ministers get informed about the situation, and what instructions did they give? The logs of these instructions must be made public.
What exactly did the Mumbai–Pune Highway Control Room do? How much toll did IRB collect during this period, how much manpower was deployed to handle the situation, and which VVIPs were evacuated using convoys while common citizens remained stranded? This information must be disclosed.
The government must apologise to the people for what happened. Stop deploying troll gangs to mock citizens and trivialise their suffering.
