Excited to share our new paper published today in Advanced Science doi.org/10.1002/advs.2023048…. We demonstrate a speech brain computer interface that can be used to reliably control home devices. We were able to maintain 90% median accuracy without decoder recalibration for 3 months.

Exciting time for the field! Two amazing studies were published this week on speech BCIs, demonstrating the huge potential of these systems. Our PI Nathan Crone wrote an article together with @UtrechtBCI's Nick Ramsey on these recent developments, read about it below 👇
Two brain–computer interfaces have been developed that bring unprecedented capabilities for translating brain signals into sentences — at speeds close to that of normal speech, and with vocabularies exceeding 1,000 words. go.nature.com/3KRCPp1
