The Franklin's Gull at Crossness - found by @wobblygreen gave, well, frankly amazing views in the sun this morning. Only the second bird for London, the first being at the same spot in 2000

A great evening talking all things river and environment!
Tideway and charity partner @Thames21 came together with community volunteers on World Environment Day to celebrate 10 years of Thames River Watch. The programme engages riverside communities in citizen science to collect and count plastic litter on the Thames foreshore.
2 CRAG members Anji & Uy joined other RAG volunteers to celebrate with @Thames21 & @TidewayLondon yesterday evening to acknowledge everyone’s efforts towards improving the health of the Tidal #Thames. #VolunteersWeek #WorldEnvironmentDay

Today is #WorldEnvironmentDay and @Thames21 have launched their Live Litter Map, showing the effects of plastic pollution across the Tidal Thames. The data was generated by @Thames21 volunteers through the Thames River Watch programme. Check it out here storymaps.arcgis.com/stories…

In #VolunteersWeek we're saying a big 'Thank You' to the wonderful people from communities along the Thames Path who help to look after their local environment. Dedicated @CrossnessG #volunteers clear tons of rubbish from the foreshore. 👏👏@LondonPortAuth @ThamesEstPart
Thank you so much to the 9 dedicated volunteers who showed up on Sunday for our monthly beach clean. Rain eased off whilst we were on the foreshore & we collected 15 bags of waste /bulky items. Thanks to @CrossnessET 🚽@ThamesmeadLDN 🗑️ & @Thames21 for their continued support 💚

Really pleased to see @LondonPortAuth enforcing a foreshore clean up by contractors. Thanks for reporting @iantokelove
Thanks to @LondonPortAuth for taking immediate enforcement action when I alerted them to the #ConvoysWharf contractors dumping countless scraps of Glass Reinforced Plastic & other #PlasticPollution into the River Thames below.

👋👋 a dozen #litterheroes defying the rain on Sunday to help #stopplasticpollution in the Thames. The stuff they pull off the foreshore looks awful, and thanks to these people it isn't in the ocean! @KeepBritainTidy @ThamesEstPart @LondonPortAuth
