🔵Epoch Transition 133 to 134🔵 Today at 12 UTC, we will have a seamless epoch transition. Also published is a hot fix for seamless update that is recommended for all nodes using the auto-save feature. The new release greatly reduces the risk of simultaneous auto-save and topology issues caused by auto-save. Important changes: 🔵Auto-save is now triggered with a tick offset that is randomly selected at node startup 🔵Switching from MAIN to AUX will not lead to auto-save immediately 🔵You can check when the next auto-save is scheduled by pressing F2 You may update your nodes with the new release github.com/qubic/core/releas… (main branch) at any time before the end of the epoch. Please make sure that you never have more than one MAIN, not even for a short time (switch MAIN to AUX before switching AUX to MAIN). 🔵Qubex Proposal Passes🔵 The Qubex proposal has passed the community vote and will now receive $99K USD in 4 stages as milestones are reached. This will allow Qubex to build a platform where users can trade assets and exchange tokens within the Qubic ecosystem. Qubex will enable swapping of tokens such as USDT, USDC, ETH to QUBIC and vice versa. Future expansion aims to integrate additional cryptocurrencies. It will also begin the work in making a fiat ramp for fiat to $QUBIC transfers and vice versa. For this to be possible, Qubex will build a LayerZero bridge between Qubic and Ethereum. Qubex will generate profits and 5% of these are to be allocated back to the ecosystem. Liquidity providers will receive 80% of profits. This project aims to be finished in 20 weeks. #FWYK. 🔵Vottun Qubic Bridge - Proposal Accepted🔵 The first project on the incubator program has been confirmed, and Vottun will now receive $26.5K USD over the course of the next 12 months. This will allow Vottun to build a bridge between the Qubic network and Ethereum/Arbitrum allowing for wrapped $Qubic to be bridged to EVM. To further support this, the Vottun team will also build a UI for wallet connections and swaps. This has been a true example of decentralisation with an external team applying for funding, which was then been accepted by the Grants Committee and then the community. #FWYK. 🔵Deflationary Tokenomics🔵 Earlier this year we announced that Qubic would begin halving cycles. Today we are pleased to release the halving schedule. Every 52 Epochs, the emissions will be cut by 50%. Currently we have approximately 850bn coins released each week, but by around Epoch 279 this would be reduced to approximately 53bn a week. The halving schedule has been designed with all stakeholders in mind and is to ensure the continued growth of the Qubic ecosystem.
