If you haven’t read @redbeardnft’s article, then I’d recommend it. Firstly it makes my posts look short (which I adore). But more importantly, he touches on some essential concepts here and I think it’s worth all of our time to absorb his perspective.
My flow-of-consciousness reflection is this:
You know, I genuinely love collecting crypto and believe it’s amongst the greatest long term investments at this time. As an economic strategist, stacking more crypto is the perfect blend of growth and stability which aligns with my fairly libertarian mindset. It’s the game that’s simple enough to win, yet complex enough to remain engaged and test discipline. Ultimately it rewards long term vision.
And yet, I simply never stop transforming my beloved crypto into its nonfungible cousin, with amazing art hitched on. Sometimes I’ve wondered if I need my head checked, but in the end I’m not even sure who I’d be without being a patron of the arts. It has been this journey of creative interactions, trajectory sponsorship, and direct building of our young space that has resulted in the greatest gifts of my life. Intangibles.
It hasn’t made me wealthier. In fact I’ve never even attempted to generate wealth from collecting NFTs. Never sold them. Just like I’ve never sold my crypto. I’m not a trader, I’m a collector. I’ve never spoken down on any project or person here, because though I may not like or agree with every decision made or path chosen, I value each person’s contribution. I value that we are all here together, and I’m 100% PVE. It’s hard enough to win without infighting.
At the end of the day, I know exactly who I’d be without any crypto. I’d just the same person I used to be, with other investments. Pretty much exactly the same. I’d find some other game to play to enhance my wealth. I’d own and operate my business and be fine.
But without engaging this renaissance in art, I’d just be Gary. One of millions, toiling away to grow my stacks and enjoy my life.
What we have at our fingertips is greatness, asking us to be better than our best.

I’m curious, how do you step up to that challenge? What is your role in building the future of art? What can you do that no other human can? Why do you do it? And of course, how can I help?
