Over the past years, we've built and launched a lot with Crypticorn — and learned just as much along the way.
Now we're evaluating what the next chapter should look like. 🧵👇
Smart contracts track raw units. Decimals tell apps where the point belongs.
A 6-decimal token shows a very different unit price than an 18-decimal token at the exact same market cap.
Check the contract decimals on the explorer before you buy.
Candles never show failed transactions.
When a contract enforces hidden sell limits or blacklist rules, swaps revert on-chain. The chart looks calm because screeners only map filled orders while red txs pile up.
Check pool reverts before following a momentum ping.

Where do you find fresh DEX setups first: automated volume alerts, manual screener scans, or trending lists?
Myth: a token down 90% cannot fall much further.
The math works against you. An asset down 90% that loses another 90% is down 99% from the high.
On DEX pairs, zero is the only real floor. A steep drop is not a discount. Wait for structure.
Live mint authority lets the creator print fresh tokens at will.
New supply instantly dilutes your bag to zero, and the chart will not warn you.
Check the contract on an explorer before buying. If mint is not revoked, pass on the trade.

DEX pairs trade wrapped tokens like WETH, not native ETH. Contracts need wrapped tokens to handle standard swaps. If you swap your full balance, you get stuck with zero native gas to move funds. Keep native coin in your wallet to cover fees.
Volume leads price on DEX pairs.
When buy volume builds while candles stay flat, buyers are absorbing supply. Price alerts only fire after the breakout wick prints.
Watch buy volume on quiet ranges before you chase the green candle.
Myth: copying whale wallets guarantees profit.
Whales know trackers watch public addresses. They buy publicly to trigger copy-bots, then dump into the follower rush. If you buy late, you are the exit.
Check entry history before you mirror an alert.

Round-trip fee drag.
Every DEX trade pays twice: swap fees, token taxes, and gas on both legs. A quick 10% move can vanish once entry and exit costs settle. Calculate your total round-trip hurdle before you enter.
Not financial advice.
Structure beats launch timing.
Most fresh DEX pairs bleed out in hours. Buying the opening green candle usually funds an early sniper exit. Let the chart find support and prove real demand before you size in.
Not financial advice.
Slippage setting ≠price impact.
A slippage limit will not protect you from thin pool math. A $300 buy into a $5k pool moves the price 6% against you before fees even hit. Always check estimated price impact before clicking swap.
Not financial advice.
Which chart timeframe do you rely on most when timing DEX entries: 1-minute, 5-minute, or 15-minute candles?
Where do you execute most of your DEX trades: Telegram trading bots, direct on the DEX web interface, or a swap aggregator?
Myth: a revoked freeze authority means a token is safe.
It only stops the creator from locking your wallet. They can still mint fresh tokens, dump insider supply, or pull unlocked LP.
Check mint authority and pool depth before you enter.
