Coinbase reports earnings after the US market closes today, and expectations are already under pressure.
Analysts are forecasting around $1.21B in revenue, compared with $1.87B a year ago.
Expected crypto trading volume is roughly $137B, less than half last year's level.
I'm looking beyond the headline earnings number.
Subscription revenue, USDC-related income and derivatives could help offset weaker spot trading, but tonight's report should show just how much Coinbase still depends on crypto market activity.
