I feel false allegations against people and attempts to assassinate people’s character without any concrete evidence should be strictly dealt with in the court of law because it is becoming rampant. You can just come online, insult people, call them criminals, label them all sorts of illegal things, and deliberately spread false narratives about them just to get views, likes, and engagement. To whom much is given, much is expected. Freedom of speech is guaranteed, but freedom after speech is not guaranteed. Everybody should start taking this seriously. Take people to court. Sue them. Let them face the consequences of making reckless and defamatory allegations against others. If we begin to hold people accountable for what they say online, it will help correct some of the abnormalities that are becoming increasingly common on social media.
