I think the takeaway from the Ledger incident is that if you have any amount of crypto, it should never be secured by a single tech stack. My recommendation is setup a 2/3 multisig. It’s easy and free on Gnosis or Squads. Have the three signers be three different wallets from different vendors. Say you have Ledger, Trezor and a mobile iOS wallet like Phantom. For someone to pwn you, they’d need to compromise two different stacks in a very short period. If something like the Ledger exploit happens to your wallet, you can simply rotate that signer off the multisig. Would also keep a small amount of canary money (maybe $100) in the wallets themselves. This will give you an early warning if that signer is compromised. This is fast and easy, and in the current high risk environment there’s no reason not to do this today.
