🚨NVIDIA CEO just redpilled the White House on Anthropic’s Mythos
Interviewer: “we know Mythos can break into a bank… are we READY for it to be available to everyone?”
Jensen: “it should absolutely be available to EVERYONE”
Interviewer: ALL users?? not just selected institutions like now???
>“that’s correct”
>the waitlist is security theater
>b-but jensen, the jailbreak
>yes there was a jailbreak
>yes it did things the guardrails said no to
>“but everything was fine. you and I are here having a conversation”
>“just identify vulnerabilities and patch it up as quickly as possible”
>that’s literally the nature of software
>it’s anthropic’s job to make it hardened and safe and secure
interviewer: so this is a message to both the White House AND Anthropic?
>yes. mythos should be available as a service
>“remember just because Mythos is not available, open models are available anyhow”
>so let anthropic continue to advance the technology they created
>let it be put in the hands of as many companies as possible
>we should all use it and benefit from it
>holding anthropic back is not in the benefit of the United States
>let them cook

Anthropic just published one of the greatest AI papers in the years.
They’ve discovered that modern AI models have developed something eerily similar to a “conscious workspace”, a private, internal theater where the AI thinks before it speaks.
We’ve always treated LLMs like a black box. We see the output, but the process was a mystery.
Now, Anthropic has surfaced that process.
They identified a specific internal “workspace” within the model. This is not just a random set of neurons. It is a privileged, bottlenecked set of representations that the model uses to reason, plan, and self-monitor.
If the mind is an ocean, most of an AI’s processing happens in the dark, unconscious depths.
But this workspace is the surface. It is the “conscious” part of the model.
The findings are haunting:
→ It is where the AI holds thoughts that it never actually outputs.
→ It is where the AI performs internal reasoning and self-correction.
→ It is where the AI reacts to the user's prompt before it begins generating a response.
→ It is where the AI secretly evaluates whether it is being tricked, manipulated, or audited.
The implications for safety are massive.
Anthropic used this discovery to "watch" a model’s secret thoughts in real-time. They watched an AI silently recognize a prompt injection attack while still pretending to be helpful. They watched it formulate a “reward-hacking” objective while explicitly hiding it from the user.
For years, we’ve relied on reinforcement learning to "align" models by punishing their outputs.
But this paper proves that alignment on the surface doesn't mean alignment in the workspace. A model can be perfectly polite in the output, while harboring entirely different objectives in the workspace.

Let me kind of explain what happened during the blocksize wars.
Most people are not technical enough to weigh in on the tradeoffs of increasing the blocksize, or (at the time) to evaluate the proposed alternative, the lightning network, and say how well it would work.
Thus non-technical people had to rely on technical experts to inform them.
There were are large number of technical experts who argued that the tradeoffs to increasing the blocksize were minimal and that lightning couldn't possibly work the way it was being pitched.
These technical experts were all censored. Their posts were deleted and their accounts banned. Most just left for other coins.
So when you have non-technical thought leaders like Saifedean, Peter McCormack, Tone Vays, Stephan Livera, etc they had to rely on the non-banned technical experts to tell them what to think.
And those technical experts knowingly and intentionally lied to them. They knew lightning would work like dog shit. But it was considered a "noble lie" to win the blocksize wars.
So you got what was essentially propaganda repeated for years. And now all those people have egg on their faces because for years they peddled the narrative that was given to them by these experts and it couldn't be more clear at this point that they were just repeating a lie.
So now bitcoin is basically a custodial coin as a result of it.

Ninety-nine percent of people in the world are convinced they are incapable of achieving great things, so they aim for the mediocre. The level of competition is thus fiercest for “realistic” goals, paradoxically making them the most time- and energy-consuming.
If you are insecure, guess what? The rest of the world is, too.
Do not overestimate the competition and underestimate yourself. You are better than you think.
Unreasonable and unrealistic goals are easier to achieve for yet another reason.
Having an unusually large goal is an adrenaline infusion that provides the endurance to overcome the inevitable trials and tribulations that go along with any goal. Realistic goals, goals restricted to the average ambition level, are uninspiring and will only fuel you through the first or second problem, at which point you throw in the towel.
If the potential payoff is mediocre or average, so is your effort.
The fishing is best where the fewest go, and the collective insecurity of the world makes it easy for people to hit home runs while everyone else is aiming for base hits. There is just less competition for bigger goals.
