The elections were awful. I know. However, there were a LOT of bright spots for openly non-religious candidates at the state and federal levels. That includes a *record* number of campaign victories. friendlyatheist.com/p/how-th…

It’s insane that Democrats have offered almost no outreach to explicitly non-religious Americans when we’re just as vital to their success as conservative Christians are to the GOP. (And yes, there are ways they could do it!)
Every major Christian group in America went for Trump by a majority or super majority. Jews and Muslims both went for Harris by a super majority. History will remember which communities backed Trump and Trumpism.

Some personal news: Excited to take the helm at @americnhumanist & @CtrFreethought, which for 80+ years have promoted humanist values & defended secular democracy. Because humans are awesome, helping each other is the highest good, & the freedom to believe is worth fighting for.
I’m Fish Stark and I’ve just joined the AHA as the new Exec. Director. As a lifelong humanist, I look forward to advancing our values & protecting the separation of church & state. Watch my video & donate to join the fight. americanhumanist.org/humanis… #GameOn #DemocracyNotTheocracy

Project 2025 aims to completely upend everything about the way we live, including public education. If this Christian-nationalist pipe dream becomes our shared reality, public education will be one of the first targets to get a Project 2025 makeover. religiondispatches.org/want-…

Today marks 2 years since the Supreme Court overturned Roe v. Wade. Now, 1 in 3 women live in a state with an abortion ban violating their freedom, health, & safety. I won’t stop fighting until we restore Roe as the law of the land once again.
For two years, women in America have felt the devastating impact of the Dobbs decision. House Democrats are taking action to restore reproductive freedom.

Every year on June 21, humanists across the world celebrate World Humanist Day, which originated in the 1980s when several of our local chapters began celebrating. For many, it is a day for uplifting the tenets & values of humanism and gathering with loved ones. #WorldHumanistDay
