It was #OTD in 2016 that the #Cubs beat the Cleveland Indians 5-1 in Game 2 of the World Series. Jake Arrieta had a no hitter going into the 6th inning. He would go 5 2/3 innings, give up 1 run, and strikeout 6. Anthony Rizzo was 1-3 with a double, 2 walks, and an RBI, Ben Zobrist was 2-4 with a triple and an RBI, and Kyle Schwarber was 2-4 with 2 RBI! Aroldis Chapman got the final 4 outs as the Cubs evened up the series at 1 game a piece. It was the Cubs first World Series win since Game 6 in 1945!

It was #OTD in 2016 that the #Cubs beat the Dodgers 5-0 in NLCS Game 6 to win the NL pennant for the first time since 1945. Kyle Hendricks pitched 7 1/3 innings and gave up 2 hits. Aroldis Chapman pitched an inning and a third. 2 of the Dodgers bases runners were wiped out with double plays, 1 was picked off. Hendricks and Chapman faced the minimum, 27 batters. Anthony Rizzo and Willson Contreras homered for the Cubs and Kris Bryant and Dexter Fowler added RBI singles.

In case of @NBCSports Sunday Night Baseball rain delay we stand ready to help. #NiseiCares
Also we really appreciated @JoeyVotto ‘s career (truly) even as a Cubs nemesis. He played hard (even when lost out in left field), and was always fun to watch and a good intetview.
