If you're voting mostly because of economic affordability issues in the upcoming midterm elections, don't vote for Republicans. And you shouldn't have voted for them in the last 40 years. FACTS:
Whatever about “deeper truths,” or @JoniMitchell getting a Grammy. Who cares? But this is one of Joni’s 5 best albums, and rarely gets the recognition it deserves. She’s not young anymore in 1994, but her wisdom, voice, melody and compassion are more devastating than ever.
“Mitchell's words are honed by a life dedicated to the notion that songs, like all great art, can illuminate deeper truths.” John Milward, Rolling Stone, 1994.
Diving deep into ‘Turbulent Indigo,’ on its 32nd anniversary today. Chalk full of twists and turns, this album would earn Joni the Grammy Award for Best Pop Album in 1996.

If we had a legacy media that gave a damn about racism, or even just basic consistency, this would be a huge story and Trump would be asked endlessly about his racism and smears and every Republican candidate would be asked to condemn and disavow.

Young and Hispanic voters gave Trump most of his THIN edge in 2024. They've ditched him now that they've seen his true identity ⬇️ (not sure how they missed it before). Will such electoral trends hold 11 more days? If so, House & the Senate will no longer be Trump's lapdog pals.

Trump’s so-called big beautiful bill stripped away health care from 10-12 million so far, with other policies of his taking more away or making it too expensive for millions more. This is on purpose: the billions saved will mostly fund tax cuts for the richest. Vote accordingly.

.@nytimes: one of the worst polluting, most dangerous plants for humans in USA is 700 feet from a school, also near many homes. Here’s how Trump and an appointee gutted all clean-air & environmental regulations for it. He hates us, loves corporations.

Insight from @DavidFrum on Nixon Vs Trump’s corruption at 5:40⬇️: “One of the things that irks me, that you hear: Trump’s is the most corrupt administration in American history. That’s strictly true, but what is the runner-up? There is no runner-up.”

This may be controversial, but this prize is like Scorsese’s Oscar: the Mercurys neglected to award Raye's much superior debut LP, so they gave it to her this year. Like Scorsese finally got his Oscar for The Departed, when he shoulda got it for Goodfellas Raging, Alice etc.

At $500k a pop, Obama would have to give a speech every night for the next twelve years to match the $2.2 billion in openly corrupt income Trump pulled in in 2025 alone.
.@AbdulElSayed is so kick-ass, I was giggling on my couch watching this:
Sen @Ossoff efficiently tells you how the U.S. economy is rigged for the rich in just 96 seconds. Only @TheDemocrats will help average Americans reverse these cruel pernicious widespread policies:
OSSOFF: If you’re late with your rent, the machinery of late fees and eviction is very efficient. But when you tell your landlord about the black mold in your daughter’s bedroom, nobody comes for four months. And then, when you’ve got to take her to the hospital for her asthma attack, you get a $3,000 bill for the ambulance.
Life was already hard enough before Donald Trump lied us into war, before his tariffs made everything more expensive, and before he doubled your health insurance premiums and slashed Medicaid.
It costs more today than ever before in American history to fill up your truck, to stock your fridge, to power your home, to go to the doctor.
Meanwhile, and you’ve seen it, the president and the first family line their pockets to the tune of billions of dollars.
The time has come to wield the power granted to us by our Constitution and rebuke this obscenity.
It's true that, about once a month, Hasan Piker says something really stupid. But most of the time, he is saying a lot of smart stuff⬇️
Hasan Piker: “Trans people are 1% of the population. They shouldn’t be talked about endlessly. Muslims are 1% of the population. They shouldn’t be talked about endlessly. It’s not a Guatemalan migrant that made your housing more expensive. It’s your landlord, it’s hedge funds buying out all of these homes and rising up their prices. A transgender person is not the reason your energy costs are skyrocketing. It’s the wars we’re waging, the data centers sucking up the energy needs. This is just the truth”
