For the next year, I'm giving away the heart of my new book — The Thought You Feed — daily posts, right here, for free.
The whole idea is simple. Almost everything that happens to us can be read more than one way, and the reading we choose shapes the day that follows. Choose the more positive interpretation and you start the morning a little lighter, a little steadier, a little more like the person you actually want to be. Do that enough times and something shifts: you stop living as the victim of your story and start living as its author. You own your future — the pen has been in your hand the whole time.
I'm sharing this for anyone worn down by the world we're living in right now. It's not clinical and it's not a lecture — just a small daily nudge toward a kinder way of seeing.
Three ways to follow along:
● Read the daily posts free, right here. Every one is tagged #TheThoughtYouFeed so you can find them all.
● Want the whole book now? Subscribe and then DM me and I'll send you a free PDF copy.
● Prefer a physical copy, or want to support the work? It's on Amazon — just search "The Thought You Feed." Link will be in the comments

Scratchy, smelled a little like mothballs, and your toes always poked through the holes. Still the warmest blanket ever made. Who in your family ended up with Grandma’s?

What did your family actually keep in there: gum wrappers, loose change, or the real thing?

I hope you enjoyed my 365 days of positive affirmations - I have posted the whole book! I will take a break from those and switch to holiday memes - and fair warning I apologize if you hate elf on the shelf - I have a lot of them. I will repost all my daily affirmations starting next year again for new followers. If you want to search old postings I tagged them with #thethoughtyoufeed if you want to see them and my profile has a link to the book on Amazon if you prefer a hard copy

Next up: convincing Dad that LOL means “lots of love.” Oh wait, that already happened. What’s the best text mix-up a parent ever sent you?

My name is William Banks, and I am Thomas's son.
It is with a heavy heart that I share that yesterday, my father was involved in a serious car accident. He is currently hospitalized and in stable condition, though he has sustained severe, life-threatening injuries.
At this time, I can only ask that you keep my father in your thoughts and prayers as he faces what will undoubtedly be a difficult road ahead. I also ask that you keep my mother and brother in your prayers as our family navigates this incredibly difficult time, both emotionally and financially.
My father has touched many lives, and I know how much he means to so many of you. Your friendship, prayers, and support mean more to our family than I can adequately express.
Thank you all, from the bottom of my heart.
William Banks
Ten cents for an ice-cold glass bottle with the opener built right in. Today it’s $3 and the machine spits your dollar back out five times. Coke or Dr Pepper: which machine are you walking up to?
