Mark Carney is obviously about a billion times smarter than Trump, but has to be careful not to let Trump's predator lizard brain realize that

Well hey everybody! Cranky here, and today I've got a new cartoon about Canada's slogan boy, Pierre Poilievre! It warms my ice-cold heart to see the truth coming to light with Modi and the whole India connection. But the coordinated narratives I've been observing across our media have NEVER been a coincidence.
These networks, owned by people richer than you can imagine, have been weaponizing our media to sow discord, amplify lies, and infiltrate our democracy, politics, and minds. The truth about Russian meddling isn't just to confuse you—it's to make you believe nothing is true at all! THAT IS THE POINT!
And from the looks of it, it’s gonna be more BAD NEWS for @PierrePoilievre, Mr. Loyal Opposition, who STILL REFUSES to get his security clearance?! The shit is finally hitting the fan, and I’m HERE for it!

Unions have raised wages, set working hours, and made workplaces safer for all Canadians. As we celebrate those hard-won achievements on Labour Day, we renew our commitment to championing workers’ rights.
Successful industrialized economies pay good wages that support families. In a time of economic uncertainty, it’s crucial to protect Canadians’ wages and their right to stand up for themselves collectively.
It’s been my privilege to have been a union member and to have worked alongside unionized workers. I know first-hand the skill, professionalism, and commitment to community that these members brought to their jobs every day. And I always protect workers’ rights, including the right to bargain collectively, unlike our current provincial government, which has shown its contempt for those rights.
Today, we honour and celebrate the contributions of workers, unions, and the labour movement in making our communities better, our workplaces safer, and our families stronger.

Without meaningful changes in forestry practices, firefighting resources & a substantial pivot to renewable energy in an attempt to mitigate climate warming Banff will be next & Alberta will have hobbled their tourism industry in two fell swoops while bowing to a waning industry.
Hey @WestJet . Our flight 667 from YYZ to YYC is already leaving 90+ minutes late, but the app says we left already. Can verify that it hasn't.

I cannot even fathom the horrific cruelty of letting your people suffer while you sit on billions of dollars.
Our commitment to fiscal discipline is paying off.
We ended the 2023-24 fiscal year with a balanced budget and a $4.3 billion surplus.
We paid down debt and grew the Alberta Heritage Fund to a record market value of $22.9 billion.

Good morning Alberta.
I thought rather than catalogue all the many “compliments” I get from Conservatives overnight, I would just bring them all together in one bundle for easy disposal.
First, yes, I am a grandpa. Thank you. Love those grandkids.
Second, I am not a “know it all” but I do know a lot. I’m highly educated, with experience in all aspects of utility operation and regulation. Running the UCA put me in every hearing and every policy debate in Alberta for a decade. On the other hand, I didn’t know “fuckstick” was a word. Fun.
Third, I used to be a Conservative. I’m an economist who studies markets. I understand the value of markets in coordinating efficient outcomes. But I also understand when and why they fail. Dogma don’t hunt when we have multi year 5x price excursions.
Fourth, I know Danielle Smith well. I was her electricity advisor for some time while the PCs were mucking it up. What a tradition.
Fifth and finally, I really don’t give a fuck about your bullshit. You can bleat, and swear, and yell and threaten. If your solution to the crisis in electricity affordability and reliability is a fist fight, what kind of moron are you?
And why aren’t you already in Cabinet?
If you think I’m just too mean to Conservatives, none of them have been harmed in the making of this rant.
Though I’m sure their little feelings will need a binky and a cuddle, if their comments are to be believed.
But sure, attack the guy who’s trying to get your power bills to go down.
That’s smart. Right K?

Homelessness, drought, leaking coal mine, burning oil well, 12-hour emergency room waits and towns without doctors.
What is premier Daniele Smith preoccupied with?
Drinking straws, again.
I suppose she tackles what she’s able to understand.

.@sunrickbell Is there such shortage of valuable news, so that you’re itching for another political sandbox brawl between Alberta and Canada?
These show fights, funded by taxpayers, are costly, staged only for political gain, and rip Canada apart.
Don’t fuel stupidity.

If you’re on here to slag Notley for shutting down coal early, and think that’s what drove up electricity prices, you’re a fucking moron.
Don’t waste my time.
Replying to @DeAiDave
She probably saved you from 3 prior years of Economic Withholding at $20 - 30 Billion a year.
All you assholes focus on is the Balancing Pool Allocation Rider (the coal plant thing)
Look it up. It’s on your bill guaranteed.
Last one I looked at was $1.96
Buncha fucking morons.
