Montie Quinn has rushed for 2,210 yards in 9 games for Division 3 Curry College. Curtis Allen of Virginia Union leads Division 2 rushing with 2,098 yards in 10 games. With a win against Endicott, Curry College would earn a birth to play in the NCAA tournament. Should Curry College lose they can only hope for an at-large bid to play in the NCAA tournament. Should Curry College move on to play in the NCAA tournament, and if Montie Quinn continues with his pace of 245 rushing yards a game, he has a realistic chance to do the unfathomable, in rushing yards for more yards in a single season than NFL Hall of Fame running back Barry Sanders. Barry Sanders rushed for 2,628 yards in 11 games in 1988 for Division 1 Oklahoma State University. Nate Kmic has the most rushing yards in a single season at Division 3 Mount Union with 2,790 in 2008 and Danny Woodhead has the most rushing yards in a single season in Division 2 for Chadron State with 2,756 in 2006. Should Montie Quinn get a chance to play 2 or more games in 2025 it is possible he can surpass all these records in addition set an NCAA Division 3 as well as all divisions record for the highest rushing yards average per game which is currently set at 238.5 yards per game by Dante Brown of Division 3 Marietta College in 1996. Barry Sanders leads all divisions with an average of 238.9 yards per game in 1988. Curry College defeated University of New England on November 8, 2025, by the score of 47-30.
