COVID actually stopped the world, and created a space to re-imagine everything. Now, as things are spinning again, education has fallen back into the same old routine. This is a problem. We need to do better for our students, for our future.

Teachers - with much respect and admiration. Please note, when you grade dump the week grades are due, students w/ anxiety are not ok. They are watching grades all quarter/semester long, and do care. At the end of the term it is too late for them to adjust. Keep them informed!❤

My 8th grade daugter told me that her SS teacher talked about the capital invasion. He stated it was only the 2nd time he stopped his lessons to talk about something happening in the world (first 9/11). I am concerned that he is not stopping more often. No current events in SS?

Recommendations for PhD programs in Education?

Though I understand that having stratagies to figure out challenging words in a text is vital to comprehension, does it really help to quanitfy how many words should be challenging and placed on a worksheet? Please enlighten me.

ISO quality read alouds that reflect people of color for primary. As I scour bookstores and libraries - there are quality stories, books with POC, but it is difficult to find both at the same time. Also, where are the boys in any of these books. #helpthemseethemselves
