In honor of Iowa State Basketball starting up again, here are my 3 questions that will define how the season will go.
1. What will the Guard rotation look like in March?
2. Can the Bigs handle themselves in Big 12 play?
3. Can Iowa State stay healthy in March?
Iowa State fans have given Jaylen Raynor a lot of crap over the past couple games (myself included), but what he did yesterday against Oklahoma State was incredible. It felt like he wasn’t playing scared for the first time in a while.
I know that most of the hype from last night will be for guys like Aiden Flora, Jamal Polite Jr. and Kyle Konrardy, but we have to shout out honorary Cyclone Tim Brando for jinxing the field goal that would’ve given Oklahoma State the win. What a play!
Look at the way that Jamal Polite Jr. plays this ball. It's hanging in the air a bit too long, so he turns around early to get the defender out of sorts, and then goes up and makes the play. Can't wait to see how he develops for the Cyclones.
He didn't even wait for it to go in before turning around. Kyle Konrardy, you are special
IOWA STATE TAKES DOWN NO. 24 OKLAHOMA STATE WITH A WALK-OFF FIELD GOAL!
@CycloneFB
That was the 6th pass that Mestemaker threw to an Iowa State defender. That one was the first one caught. Crucial play by Beau Goodwin
Vibes are incredible right now, but in the future Iowa State needs to come down with some of these interceptions. That's at least 3 dropped picks that could have been huge for the Cyclones
The Raynor pick looms large, but Iowa State's Offense has done a really good job so far in the 1st half
